Story time: My 3-year-old kept asking for the "pink shoe song" in the car, and for a week, I couldn't figure out what he was talking about. Then, one day, while driving around listening to The Emptiness Machine, he said, "It's the pink shoe song!"

Few guidelines and recomendaitons :

• Preferably not including the intro, to avoid bad faith stuff
• Both numerical and tier rankings are welcome
• If you do tier, best to try being a minimum granular - like, not putting all the songs in S Tier

I'll do mine in tiers. There are multiple songs I like about the same, and giving numeric placement for songs in such different styles seems a bit too...

I divided every LP song with at least 110m Spotify streams into three categories:

• Safe (>160m streams) (i.e. >25m ahead of TEM)
• Under Threat (135m-160m streams)
• Recently Overtaken (110-135m streams)

Of course, I do think TEM will easily exceed...

• Out of all FZ era material, this is the song that, to me, felt the most like a collab and had the least LP-DNA feel to it. More like a Dead sara-meet-Mike thing. But of course, that would make sense,, given it was one of the first song they worked on together, and the first one where Emily screamed on

Anyway, after a few listens, I've realized one of my main gripes with the album is the order of the songs. Too many sudden and weird mood and energy shifts. I realize the band are no strangers to this (for example: Given Up - Leave Out All the Rest - Bleed It Out; or Castle of Glass - Victimized - Roads Untraveled), but on this album in particular I feel like it works to the albums' disadvantage.
