Great premiere, Dat Ending. I wonder Thoughts: So now not only does Deb know that Dexter is a killer, she knows he's a serial killer and he's killed a lot of people. I wonder if Deb will continue to have romantic feelings for Dexter. Previews: Seems Deb will find out EVERYTHING. Edit: Showtime Officially uploaded the entire episode to YouTube. I can't post the link, I think. But find it searching " Dexter: Season 7 Premiere Dexter: Season 7 Premiere it's 55:54.
Such a sick episode. Hopefully this pacing keeps up. There's a shitstorm of things happening and I will be hugely disappointed if this entire season isn't balls to the wall. Deb is hot as fuck.
Yeah, so, I just finished watching the ep (having finished S6 only last night) and I'm really fucking amped for this season's plotlines - except for the one involving La Guerta. I never find her exciting.
Season 6 was, in my humble opinion, kinda "meh", except the Season Finale, especially the last Scene. I had mixed feelings about a new Season for the Show. It did not disappoint. Not. One. Bit. The Opening Scene was quite clever, the Dialogue between Deb and Dex was so tense, you could grasp the eeriness there. Rest of the Episode was top-notch, and the ending left me sitting on my couch with my mouth wide open. Really looking forward to Season 7`s Storyline and how it will all intertwine with Laguerta and the Blood Slice Dex left behind. Really stoked!
Sooo, just finished ep 2. Finally. I feel like Deb should be more afraid than she is. I think Louis should be more afraid than he is. I'm slightly annoyed about those two things ;D
I disagree with both points. 1. If you remember Deb did let Lumen get away and Lumen killed quite a few people. It wold be quite hypocritical to say "She killed horrible murderers and rapist!" regarding Lumen and then turn around and call Dexter a monster. Deb also went through a whole thing questioning herself as to if it's adequate to just jail killers. So, I feel that as time has passed over the seasons she's begun to question her own morality and thus isn't as afraid of Dexter as she would have been during seasons one through four. Also I've always had the feeling that Debra always thought or suspected something was a bit off with Dexter. 2. I think Dexter should be more afraid of Louis. I speculate that Louis knows quite a bit about Dex and yet still he doesn't back off. Why? I dunno but what I do know is that Dexter's been too lucky and it will eventually catch up to him. If it's that Louis knows his secret then not being afraid makes me question how danger he is exactly. With all that said I did have quite a few problems with this episode, just not the two points you pointed out specifically.
Dexter letting Louis go was so fucking dumb. Louis can basically kill him from his computer and Dexter thinks it's ok to let him live? He's learned the hard way a couple different times now that he should kill someone when he has the chance. Rita would still be alive and Travis wouldn't have gone on a huge rampage. Yet here he is making the same mistake again.
I agree - I think he could've gotten away with it, even fooling Deb, if he just deviated from his MO enough
That last ep was great. A little predictable, especially Deb's little arc, but not really in a bad way. No huge cliffhanger either so waiting for next week's ep probably won't be difficult for me.
What Zane said. Seriously, this Season is just awesome. Not a single Episode that wouldn`t be rated at least a 8/10. I had high expectations going in this Season of Dexter, and i`m surprised, how much it has surpassed these aforementioned expectations. Season Finale, Dex in Handcuffs, eventually on the Run? Harry says something like that in the Preview. The only Time I`ve watched the Preview for next Week and I gotta say: worth it.
(A little rant, sorry :X) Who edited my title? I've no problem with it it's just that thought that I made the rules clear in my first post. A lot of people consider spoilers to be different things. Someone might say if they haven't seen it, it's a spoiler, while I adamantly disagree with that. If it has aired, it is not a spoiler and I'm not tagging it. Which is stated in the very first post of this thread. Also the post above mine actually does post what I consider a spoiler and which asked to be tagged in the rules. Previews for the next episode... So, Dexter turned in Hannah, huh? Well, fuck me backwards. /deb.
It looks like Dex still might find himself back in Hannah's arms. It really would not shock me if the drug was planted there by Hannah's friend. All Dexter found was a lock of blonde hair (same for both women) and prescription drugs. Hannah's style isn't with prescription drugs.
Deb totally drugged herself in order to get Hannah out of her and Dexter's life. I hope he brakes her out of prison and kills Deb and they run off to Argentina just as Maria finds out the truth about Dexter. Next season, the manhunt of the REAL Bay Harbor Butcher and the eventual trial of Dexter.
Yeah that's what I thought. It was pretty bad writing to assume Dexter wouldn't even think Deb would do it. Especially before turning the love of his life in. People have been doing things out of character for a while now but the story has been good. Pretty dumb they killed Isaac off so early. Those were some of the best episodes of the series. I'll be disappointed if Hannah goes, too. She adds a nice dynamic to the show and she's hot as fuck. Seriously get rid of everyone but Deb, Dex, Hannah, and Masuka.
