To be specific, they play 70s on 7. Annnndddd its trash (but I lived with 80s on 8 for a while and its not bad for the most part)
Arguable, but I'd say she has a marvellous voice, indeed. One of my favorite female vocalists too, but don't forget Avril Lavigne, Amy Lee, Sharon den Adel, Simone Simons, Tarja Turunen, Floor Jansen, Anette Olzon,Charlotte Wessels, Taylor Momsen, Lzzy Hale, Alanis Morissette, Bjork, Dolores O'Riordan, Hayley Williams, even Chelsea Wolfe or Julien Baker, who are not that well known. I'd include Taylor Swift on that list too. Just in terms of voices, in terms of consistency the list would shrink a bit.
There are many great female singers, I think more than male singers from what I normally listen to. Sometimes even in the one hit wonders there are good vocalists, both male and female, but some just didn't stay for some reason.
Bands, who change their members for whatever the reason is, shouldnt automatically change their name. People should give things a chance.
-95% of Linkin Park's fanbase only listens to white rappers (if any rap beyond Linkin Park/Fort Minor at all) -Modern R&B is underappreciated. -Limp Bizkit weren't THAT bad -Rage Against The Machine is overrated -Run The Jewels is far more entertaining than EL-P's solo work -Drake makes some of the best pop rap -Eminem's music, while a talented emcee, has not aged well with bland production, recycled concepts, and some really bad albums.
I basically didn't start liking R&B until 2011 (and rap music around the same time). Not sure I would say it's underappreciated, though, because current R&B acts have made a big mark on the pop landscape and, commercially, they do alright.
I agree, r&b and hip hop are some of the more relevant genres of music. A lot more relevant than rock music for sure.
