No, that's easy enough to have perspective on - people who are going to the shows are typically attending one date and having their one experience, and that's who the setlists are for, not everyone who's keeping a close eye on the setlists for every show. A lot of people that have turned up to see Linkin Park have no idea what the band is going to play, whether that's during this cycle or a past one.

*Insert "and I took that personally" meme here* /jk.

I just think Faint is the better closer. I think the overall energy and the build to the outro is unmatched. It's heavier and more climactic, whereas Bleed It Out is a feel good party anthem that kind of plays its hand right away. But yes the "OMG HE RAPPED IT'S GOIN DOWN!" is very overdramatic.

As someone who probably got the weakest rotation of the leg, I still enjoyed every minute of the set (And From the Inside truly does tear the house down). I think as the band makes more music with Emily, the sets will only get more "predictable" as there will be no more room for these deep cut surprises. I will also never take it for granted that the band is making music and performing again.

I'm not in disagreement there, and I don't really like "Bleed It Out" that much - it's just that, when it comes to a song either closing the main set or the encore, that difference is basically non-existent to me.

I've been listening to The Catalyst lately and it kind of dawned on me - does anyone else think ending the song with the second verse (burning in the fires of a thousand suns) instead of the first (living under loaded gun) would make more sense thematically? It would end the journey full circle with The Requiem. Or is it too cheeky and on the nose? Interested to hear some thoughts.

I've never thought about this to be honest. I suppose from a thematic standpoint reprising the second verse is more full-circle and lyrically feels more climactic in the scope of the song itself. But I think it may just be more for the syllabic emphasis of the first verse for sound design reasons...sounds smoother to my ears comparing the two.

Crude example if you're interested: https://vocaroo.com/1jMCSFl9sIY9

I was actually coming to talk about "The Catalyst" in here funnily enough. Was just listening to the album today and that bridge gets me every time with all the synths and Joe's fader solo. Why do they cut that out live! I loved hearing the song live for the first time in Nashville but damn I wish they didn't...cut the bridge.

Okay I didn't expect someone to actually try and make it - that was impressive! While this would obviously be cleaned up in the studio, I agree that first verse sounds punchier.

On your note, I would gladly take the bridge over the moody extended intro they've been using any day of the week. But "lift me up, let me go" was a highlight regardless.

Speaking of live shows, does anyone know if the photos the band takes are available in high-res anywhere? Was hoping to print off a few from the show I went to.

I could imagine that some of these photos are available in the LP-Zine of the LPU membership

Listened to From Zero front-to-back for the first time since maybe April.

Still so good. For now my feeling remains it solidly sits in the stronger half of their discography.

I think what Alex does is really close enough

There are live performance aspects where I sometimes wish Emily was borrowing more from Chester, at least for those older songs he used to sing

I do miss Chester's improvisation. Though he did it less and less with age, the random screams he would add into songs that had been played hundreds of times always made each performance unique from the studio recordings. Emily plays it more by the books but it may just be a case of preserving her voice as the band is playing longer sets than ever before.

    Damn.

I was watching parts of the very last shows of the US tour, mostly the one in Sacramento. Got to say. Emily has really made the old songs her own (SIB, LFY, Faint, Papercut, Numb, etc), injecting her own style into them. It all seems so fluid now, the intonation, the accent, where to go clean vocals, where to add grit. 50+ shows did wonder, it comes out super natural and confident.

She did a respectable job from the start, but as a lot of others, I was always slightly less into a good bulk of the old songs reinterpreted. They sound great now. Loving it.

hello! I'm not really sure where to put this lol so i'll just post in here
so, I have an old 32bit ipad and I wanted to install LP 8bit rebellion on it, all of the .ipa files for the game that are on the internet archive crash on boot after installed (my ipad is jailbroken and I have other old paid apps on it that run just fine). Does anyone here know if it's still possible to still get this game working (in offline mode lol) and how to do so?

This isn't something I have any experience with, as I don't use Apple systems. I wish you luck

Finished the game (it was kinda short, but good) and I really liked that song :D
I'm glad I didn't just go listen to it and enjoyed it the way it was intended :)

Yeah, 15 years later downgrading the IOS System. The only intended way :kappa:

But seriously, i also loved to unlock it in 2010 through that game:lol:

Also loved the 8-Bit versions of the other tracks. They were a lot of fun.
