After their double-header in the Madrid area, Linkin Park are leaving the Iberian peninsula and making their way to Italy as the From Zero World Tour draws very near to its end. The band will headline in Florence at Visarno Arena on June 26, coming to Florence for the first time to play their second-to-last solo headlining date of 2026 and the From Zero tour cycle.

Italy has seen the band over the years, but this has usually always been in Milan, with the occasional stop outside of there over the years. This is the band's debut in the city of Florence, another city to see Linkin Park visit for the first time in their touring history. While Milan saw the band last summer, this will now be Florence's first opportunity to welcome the band's new lineup with Emily Armstrong and Colin Brittain.

As the band's Milan history was covered last summer ahead of their I-Days performance, it's worth looking at the other cities in Italy they have visited. After the band's exclusive Milan performances of Hybrid Theory and Meteora, in 2007 the band was scheduled to perform in the city of Venice for the first time, at the Heineken Jammin' festival. The festival day was unfortunately cancelled after wind gusts collapsed rigging and PA towers, causing injuries. The band instead returned to the festival the next year to perform during their 2008 Europe festival circuit, opening with the slow-burn long into version of "No More Sorrow" and continuing on through a set that surprisingly saw the least of Meteora, opting to include much of their debut album including "Cure for the Itch" instead.

Three years later, in 2011, the band returned for the Italian stop of the traveling Sonisphere Festival, playing in Imola within the greater Bologna metropolitan area. While songs like "Blackout" and "Burning in the Skies" were not included here, the band did include many of their A Thousand Suns staples such as "When They Come for Me" and "Waiting for the End". The setlist for Sonisphere allowed more room for the band's earlier works to work their way into the set, among the tightly-linked works from the band's newest studio album.

Linkin Park skipped over Italy entirely for the LIVING THINGS cycle, but returned in summer of 2014 to play in Milan, and then finally made their way to the capital of Rome next year, performing "Papercut" to open their appearance at the Rock in Roma series. This point of the touring cycle for The Hunting Party was a curiosity for many fans, with lead single "Guilty All the Same" having last been performed months prior in January 2015 (the last time to date), and with the album closer "A Line in the Sand" in regular rotation for the setlist.

The band returned to play at I-Days in Monza in 2017 while touring in support of One More Light, and returned to the festival last year, back in its home of Milan. Just barely over a year later, they have returned to Italy to give fans one last sendoff before the end of the touring season. This show in Florence is the first both in the city and the region of Tuscany.

At this point it is safe to assume there will be no more shakeups to the setlist. The shifts at the beginning of this Europe run appear to have been the last, switching in songs last played in 2024 while changing the opener for the first time all tour. And of course, the return of "With You", which was played yet again for Madrid's second night.

With only Belgium and Switzerland remaining after Florence, the finish line is finally in sight for a tour that has carried Linkin Park across the globe for nearly two years. Whether any final surprises remain or not, Florence represents one of the band's last opportunities to leave it out there for European audiences before this chapter of the From Zero World Tour comes to an end.

Okay, back here to talk about this show!
First of all, I want to make a small preface: seeing Florence hosting a Linkin Park show feels like a dream come true. I live in a town that's a 15-minute drive away. I wouldn't consider it "my city" but it's definitely a city I visit often and have spent a lot of time over the years, both for study and work. And Florence does have its fair share of big acts touring there, but for some reason, neither LP nor Mike ever did, as they pretty much always held shows in Milan or Rome.
So, back in 2018, for my final graphic design exam in high school, I made a mockup poster for a Linkin Park comeback tour show set in Florence at the Visarno Arena:

I remember showing it to people in the Italian LP community and talking about it as wishful thinking. Aaaand now, it actually happened!


You might recall my bad experience with the festival show in Milan from last year, and I want to say that this year everything went far better. Turns out that having to drive 20 minutes instead of 4 hours to get to the show might result in a better spot, even without a gold pit ticket, who would've thought?
The heat was insane (37°C/98°F), but the organizers mercifully installed some gazebos to sit under before the show, so my friends and I managed to get some space there for a while. Phantogram and Clipse played their sets, and I enjoyed them, especially the former, then it was LP time.


The setlist was rightfully different from last year, with a lot of cool additions like LIES GREED MISERY, a song that I don't even really enjoy in its studio version, but becomes a banger on stage), LOST IN THE ECHO, IGYEIH, and Let You Fade. No With You, unfortunately, which was the song I wanted to hear the most, but the show still delivered. I think Emily sounded a little less strong than she did last year, and I think she might be a bit tired from this lengthy tour. I don't think Dead Sara ever toured this long. She was still very good and really delivered on the FZ tracks, she was just a little less powerful than I remembered. Mike was great as usual, and I also really enjoyed Colin's drumming and performance. I don't know if they do this every show, but there was also a bit where Dave grabbed one drumstick while Colin held one of the bass strings. I don't remember in which song it happened, but it was a funny interaction. I also think the band chemistry really settled in during this last year of tour, which makes me really curious for the next record. The production of the show was awesome. I really love the different visuals and lights they use, and Overflow is still a highlight of the set because of how well the production matches the song. Gotta say, it feels weird not to have Bleed It Out close the show, I'm really used to it, but Faint also works well in that spot.
Getting out of the venue was a bit of a mess, but that's to be expected when you have 60k people trying to leave the place at the same time.


Overall, this was one of the most fun shows I attended in a good while. Being there with a friend group instead of alone or just with my girlfriend definitely helped, but everything just worked, and the performance was great, everybody was blown away. The From Zero tour reintroduced Linkin Park to the world, and they rocked it, as they found an enormous audience that was just waiting for them. I'm so curious about the future!

Yeeeeeah, about that. Their performance was good, great even. Everything else about my Gorillaz day, the less said the better LOL From the show being only 90 minutes long (Wolf Alice basically co-headlined the night for whatever fn' reason, no disrespect to them but... c'mon) to one of the worst crowds I've ever been a part of. Basically, the opposite of the LP experience

In Madrid was also hot as hell, but we carried on with umbrellas. It was a good show for me, much better than I remembered from the one in 2003 I was in. Insane production, visuals and music. BUT! I think also they’ll get good rest after this long long tour. Ready the next chapter!!
