I guess its just how music changes with time but if you look at it most music (mainly rock) is changin around their beats from being regular rock and adding a different sound to it and for some bands it comes out great but for others they just dont sound great... anyone know what im talking about?
I agree that some bands have started to add more hip-hop elements to their songs but there are like thousands of bands who aren't so I don't think it's anything to be concerned about. Percides there's nothing wrong with Hip-Hop, that's good Hip-Hop that is, I hate it when rap artists are like "I'ma pimp cos I fucked some hoes fa show, I'm a gangsta cos of the way I dress and talk and walk like a pigeion" especialy morons like 50 Cent, I can't take self-rightious assholes like him seriously. Rap artists like Tupac and Eminem do have that kind of thing in thier music but it doesn't dominate over their songs, they actualy have good tunes with good lyrics. Hell, what makes Fort Minor so damn good as that none of that bullshit is in Mike Shinoda's lyrics.
PWN. Anyways, to argue FOR Fiddy, his album BEFORE he got shot was pretty intellectual if you will. Besides, how do you define a beat as 'rock?' The first hip-hop beats were created using the drums from rock songs. Most people wouldn't know it was a rock beat until the guitar came in.
You're about a year off, and that was pretty pointless anyway seeing as my first post was close enough to the truth.
