I posted a thread about these guys last year, but I figured I'd bring them back up again because I've revisited their material and it is freaking hilarious. Flight of the Conchords are self-proclaimed as "New Zealand's fourth most popular folk-parody duo". In reality, they're two hilarious guys named Bret and Jemaine who do live comedy music routines to the tune of acoustic guitars. They actually signed last year with HBO to develop a sitcom which involves musical scenes as well. FotC is best known for their HBO special "One Night Stand". The stuff they get on with in their songs is absolutely ridiculous and hilarious. They're awesome, I remember showing those live shows to my friends and everybody laughed so hard. They've got a Tv-show running on HBO now too, you know. The first episode is up on their Myspace. I've been looking for their cds, but I can't find 'em...
I remember the last thread about these guys. When I looked them up on the internet and watched their videos, I found them absolutely awesome. Rock on Albie the not-so-racist-anymore dragon and the jellybeans!
Business Time and Jenny are my two favourites from them. They have other great stuff not from the HBO like "Pencils in the wind", "frodo, don't wear the ring" and others. I hadn't heard about the sitcom though. Will be interesting at the very least.
Hiphopapotamus vs. Rhymenoceros was awesome!! 10 / 10 my lyrics are bottomless.... all the other videos are great, Jenny and Business Time are really great too!!
"The Humans Are Dead" is hilarious too. "Binary solo! Zero zero zero zero zero zero zero one Zero zero zero zero zero zero one one.." I can't find "Pencils in the Wind", though.
