Anderson got his awarded and I don't think he'd played a game for Brazil at that stage.

Da Silva will get it on appeal for sure I reckon.

Anderson was capped 12 times for Brazil before United baught him I believe. Whether it was 12 or not I know for sure he was capped before he signed for United.

Da Silva should get his permit, I see no reason why he shouldn't. Maybe the english offices are angry that he managed to lob Paul Robinson with a header when Croatia last played England.

Anderson's first senior cap was at Copa America in any case. He definately played in the youth squads mind.

Wikipedia says the same thing but I'm 90% sure I saw somewhere that he'd been capped before. I could have sworn he played for Brazil against Argentina at the Emirates last september aswell. I could be wrong of course.

It would be a joke if it turned out to be true and Eduardo doens't get his permit considering he's played more than enough times for Croatia.

Hartlepool United have been looking good in their pre season games.

they lost to Newcastle United 2-1. i think that scoreline flatters Newcastle (the first team may i add) as well. it was Bartons first game and big Sams first game in charge. and Pools took the lead! it was amazing until Newcastle equalised like 30 seconds after

also.. they drew with AZ Alkmaar the other day 1-1. their first team as well, pretty similar to the team that knocked Newcastle out of the UEFA cup last season. and we gifted them their goal, so i think we should have beaten them

all in all its looking good for the season ahead, im looking forward to it like you cant believe.

    15 point deduction eh.

Doubt you'll get promoted, but atleast you can say you have the biggest stadium in League One. (I think).

    TEVEZ!

At least you can look back on the great moments. Like when you ended Arsenal's league campaign in 2003. :D

The following predictions will come true.

    01. Chelsea
    02. Man United
    03. LiverpoolSteven Gerrard
    04. Spurs
    05. Arsenal
    06. Blackburn*
    07. Everton
    08. Villa**
    09. Portsmouth
    10. Newcastle
    11. Bolton
    12. Man City
    13. West Ham
    14. Fulham
    15. Middlesbrough
    16. Reading
    17. Birmingham
    18. Sunderland
    19. Wigan
    20. Derby

*If Steven Reid stays fit, otherwise about three or four places further down.
** Barring an injury crisis, otherwise the same applies as with Blackburn.
***If they sign any decent center-backs they could become the new Bolton and break into the top half.

    The Championship:

    Champions: Wolves
    Runners-Up: Charlton
    Play-offs: Sheffield Wednesday
    Relegated: Norwich, Scunthorpe, Blackpool

(Edited because I realised I'd put four teams to be relegated from the Championship)

Judging by this Spurs display I don't think Arsenal will have any problem securing fourth.

Of course you can't judge on one game mind. Arsenal will probably tear Fulham to pieces tomorrow and come out with a 0-0.

I think Blackburn are better, with Reid and Savage fit anyway. They've signed some good players and the word underrated was invented for quite a few of the ones that were at the club anyway. Everton always seeem to make one or two good signings each summer with a couple of others that are just okay or underachievers. They're only slightly better than Villa under John Gregory and Graham Taylor imo, I mean at least they haven't signed Alpay or Michael Boulding yet. They should still make the top 6 though.

Hardly comfortable though, looked like they hadn't learnt anything from their previous campaign. Farbregas went missing, kept on taking one too many touches around the box, not to mention they let Fulham look fairly decent.

I still reckon they'll finish in the top four, but another year off the pace of the title challengers.

If Steven Gerrard were foreign he probably wouldn't be far off Cristiano Ronaldo status by now.

Regarding the video Skywalker posted, these days it's hard to believe Kewell could do that.
