A few bands aren't bad, but it hasn't been my thing for a while now. I think the last decent one was a few years back when LP and Metallica headlined. There's always some good bands playing, but not really enough to make me go for a whole weekend.
Someone should alert Al Gore to this over-abundance of hairspray and perms. Normally there ends up being enough bands that I like to make it well worth going, if I did. I never end up going anyway though. I think Reading is my priority this year, if indeed I do go to any.
So wait... this thing lasts a whole weekend... The list seems a little short, even if they do add more bands... I hope you don't have to pay each day, considering most American festivals have this same number of bands all in one day. Unless they are playing really long and decent sets I guess...
ya dude there is a shit load of bands that play there are 3 stages i think maybe more i think it averages 8 or 9 bands per day on every stage so ya..im sure you can do the math
To get a better idea of how many bands are playing, click here and here for the lineups of the past two years.
holy crap!!!! I think this is the only time, concert related that I wished I lived anywhere but the US.... usually you guys get lame shows but those 2 lineups are way better than any US festival i've ever seen... Usually festivals like warped tour have a lot of bands, with only about half of them being decent to begin with and really no HUGE names.... but those lists seem so perfect.... im sad now haha
haha no.... A) American News is ignorant to the existence of any other countries so you defiantly don't here much about foreign concerts and B) I guess I usually wouldn't care enough to investigate something that didn't affect me at all... I guess that makes me ignorant to though haha.
ya but its not like a small europe festival its fuckin download! turn the channel to fuse anytime when it comes close and thats all they talk about im from the U.S too and ive heard of download and many other Europe festivals
Why would American News say anything about concerts, unless of course some one had died. Media are always quick to get in on those things. i try not to hear about international concerts, but somehow i can't seem to avoid them
Yeah it's called going to a website to find out when your favourite bands are touring in your area just to find out that they aren't. This festival would probably be a way for Manson to promote his new album. Woo!
I have this thing called last.fm that recommends me events in my area, but I usually see festival line-ups whilst on music news sites like Ultimate-Guitar or on forums like trusty LPA.
I gave up last.fm because of my regional town and if it's something dire that I want to see, I usually hear it off friends before I see it on the net. i.e. Nightwish, that was a well worthwhile trip to Sydney
I live close to the city so i guess it works for me. Maybe you could set your distance further away? If that makes sense.
Faith No More confirmed as 3rd headliner. Billy Talent, Anvil, Buckcherry and The Blackout also added to the lineup.
