Digital painting is no cup of tea. I gave up on it after seeing these artists work: http://adonihs.deviantart.com/art/GABRIEL-107612010 http://tobiee.deviantart.com/ I'd say try to blur less, it's sometimes more expressive when you can see the brush strokes. Maybe use a pencil sketch of the image as top layer or at least some lines, it'll give it more character, but it's a step down the path of a more unrealistic approach. Experimenting with brushes might be a way around that, it looks realistic and textured. I think it's very difficult to paint realisticly so I try to use that to my advantage.
First, what's a Wacom tablet? I really like this, the lines are clean, and you did a really good job with the shadows/shading. You did a very good job with capturing his likeless. Well done.
I've considered for a little while doing a pencil outline over him or some type of lines. Right now it doesn't pop enough for me, so perhaps pencil definition might work better. I'll have to try that. Thanks! And Jen, a Wacom tablet is a graphic design pad that allows you to do digital sketching. Google wacom and you will see.
i have a Wacom tablet. They're pretty cool. I'm not too sure what to say about the picture. It looks pretty good, but it needs a bit of work. I realise it isn't finished though of course.
