I've finally reached my goal of getting 500+ posts so that I can enter the LPA Arcade and have some fun, while competing against other members for the top spot. I am now going to present you with a list of the bad things and the good things about the arcade. The bad: - "I lost the game, thats okay I will play again.", then I get redirected out of the arcade, which is annoying. - "OMFG! NEW HIGH SCORE! I BEAT THE SCORE IT SAYS TO THE LEFT!", then I get redirected out and nothing happens. - "I think I am doing well in the arcade, lets see my rankings", then I see there are none, and it doesn't even know I played a game. The good: - I can play games, on my favourite forums against the other members of the forums. As you can see, I am not very happy with the arcade at all, yes I know you people at the LPA are tying to fix up the bugs and such, but still, my arcade experience to date has sucked. I am very put off by these MAJOR bugs and glitches. So I really hope you can get a better arcade system, or a update of the current one, because yes playing the games is fun but not being able to get high scores and such makes it pointless really. I hope you can take what I've said into consideration and make some changes if you wish. Thanks.
We are running the most up to date code out there. Considering that the arcade addon for vB is free, coded by people in their spare time, there is not anything we can do to get the bugs worked out, it's not like we're paying for anything here.
We are aware of the glitches and are doing all we can to fix the problem. The issue is that the arcade wasn't really built for vb4, even though the newest version claims to be 'vb4 compatible'. The problem is..it's not. The developers at most, did a very sloppy port and as you can see...things aren't working as well as they should. We are looking for alternate plugins, but it might ultimately come down to us just having to scrap the arcade altogether.
Okay, I can now understand more of your point, and I';m sorry for seeing to aggressive and competitive, but I actually don't mean it that way. I hope you don't have to scrap the arcade alltogether, but I think getting a bug/glitch free arcade if one is available is the better option than having a very buggy/glitchy arcade.
Unfortunately it seems as if this is the only arcade add-on for vB, and many other sites are having this problem. The developers aren't responding either. See here: http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=101554&page=383 We may not be able to fix it.
Yeah, this is a port of iBProArcade. AFAIK, there's only one arcade script out there, and this is it.
I noticed these glitches when I came back. But didn't say anything as I rarely ever play in the arcade nowadays. Oh well at the most important thing is that there is every other up to date code in the forums. Pity the developers have probably run off with everyone's money for paying for the extra feature.
