We should get the LPA band to start working, then once all the songs have been finished and fully recorded we can release them all on maybe a digital CD for the members of the forums only. It would be a nice treat.
No can do unfortunately. Exclusives or not, Warner holds copyright in about 90% of the exclusives we've released over the years (even demos) and would come down on us faster than you can even imagine if we were to do that. Good idea, it just wouldn't work.
I don't think you're thinking these ideas through thoroughly... Isn't the LPA band project YouTube-based, as in the initial and final products will therefore be on YouTube? If so, wouldn't it be easier to simply make a playlist? Do we anticipate an audio version would be necessary? Wouldn't the sound quality be pretty terrible considering they'd be ripped from webcams/camcorders? Furthermore, why would the CD be restricted to LPA members only, especially if the YouTube versions would already be available to the public? Honestly, I appreciate the ideas, but they seem to be full of holes.
All payments will contribute toward's LPA's server fees. Plus, wouldn't we get in shit with Warner because of the LP perspective of this site?
I think we should make a free compilation LPA mixtape of remixes that the people on this site do, to help as incentive to join the site and see what we have to offer. We wouldnt be able to sell it of course, because we dont have the permission to do so, and we would get in a LOT of trouble if we do sell it. But overall its not a bad idea
Okay, it's been settled. Me & Luke have discussed it and we're officially recording all previous Chain Gang - LPA RAP and releasing them for digital download in the coming months. Now if anyone remembers them, you win a prize.
