This has been noted plenty of times before, but this is horrible. People are complaining about Linkin Park's change way too much and it's really getting out of hand now. It's not even funny anymore. Aren't you guys sick of seeing dumb, uneducated trolls blabber about "lp iz not c00l techno is gay i am jus gonna listen to crawling". Or people who say that Linkin Park are commercial rock sellouts, and Rick Rubin ruined everything about the band. I'm proud that my favorite band didn't make another Hybrid Theory 3, let alone a 4th. They have music that appeals to almost every genre whether it be rock, hip-hop, nu metal, metal, electronica, they made remixes, they did mash-ups, they did acoustic tracks, hell they even did covers. I'm sick and tired of dumb trolls who have no clue about the band let alone the music industry, and call themselves hardcore fans, and say that the new songs don't have meanings? So instead of writing about tough times in "Given Up" I guess Chester could've wrote about broken promises and lies for the 30th time.

On top of that, Linkin Park clearly releases alot more than that. If these fans are so damn hardcore, maybe they should sign up, or at least listen to the Linkin Park Underground songs. Wasn't QWERTY released in 2006? Close to the release of Minutes to Midnight? There is your nu-metal old school Linkin Park right there, but after Meteora was released. You have timeless classics since the release of the first two albums, "Bleed It Out", "Shadow Of The Day", "In Pieces", "The Little Things Give You Away", and I can go on and on. If people are complaining that there isn't enough old-school Linkin Park, they should look harder.

Another thing that boggles my mind, is how people say that DJ Hahn and Mike Shinoda aren't present in "The Catalyst". Do I really need to say anything there? Well, let me know what you guys think.

Of course they are. But the haters and the so-called fans that bash LP's new direction aren't going to change their minds after reading this. If you're a true fan, and you love the way LP has evolved, just enjoy the music and ignore what this people say about it... After all, they're missing something great, and you should feel sorry for them.

In the end people will be idiots regardless. You can't satifisy everyone. I'm glad that they aren't making a HT 3 or a MTM 2. HT is a dead sound and MTM was boring as shit. I want fun music thats new and fresh and that seems to be what I will be getting. Woohoo LP

Listen, I share your enthusiasm for people to accept that the band has changed, but there's really no need to make an entire thread about it. People will think those things you pointed out regardless, and there will always be alot of people who will react negatively to the band's new material. At the end of the day though, these kind of posts will only antagonize those people and make them feel like their opinions don't matter which is wrong because, like it or not, everyone is allowed to say they don't like the band's new direction.

Peronsally, I agree with some of the things you said, Nick, but there was no need to create a thread like this so I'm going to close it. I hope you understand that while we value your opinion, you need to relax your stance on the whole matter. If people annoy you with their opinions then there's not an awful lot you can do about it except beg to differ.
