    We tried this thread before and it failed, but I am hoping it works this time :).

    APPLESAUCE CAKE

    Ingredients

    * 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
    * 2 cups brown sugar
    * 2 eggs
    * 1 teaspoon vanilla
    * 2 1/4 cups flour
    * 2 teaspoons baking soda
    * 3/4 teaspoon salt
    * 1 teaspoon cinnamon
    * 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
    * 2 cups applesauce (original flavor)
    * 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
    * 1 cup chopped walnuts
    * Powdered sugar, optional

    Directions

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

    In a mixer fitted with a whisk attachment, cream the butter. Add the brown sugar and continue mixing. Add the eggs, 1 at a time, and vanilla, then mix until well blended and fluffy.

    In a separate bowl, sift together the dry ingredients. Add to the creamed mixture alternately with the applesauce. Fold in the raisins and walnuts. Pour batter into a greased and floured loaf or tube pan and bake until firm to the touch, about 40 to 45 minutes. Let cool in the pan, then turn it out, and dust with powdered sugar.

    Another family classic:

    ITALIAN BAKED ZITI

    Ingredients

    * 1 (16 ounce) package ziti pasta
    * 1 pound mild Italian sausage, casings removed
    * 2 (24 ounce) jars marinara sauce
    * 1 1/2 teaspoons dried basil, divided
    * 12 ounces ricotta cheese
    * 1 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning, divided
    * 1 dash salt and pepper
    * 1 pound mozzarella cheese, shredded

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
    2. Place sausage in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain, crumble and set aside. In a large saucepan, heat marinara with 1 teaspoon basil until bubbling. In a medium bowl, mix together ricotta, 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, salt and pepper.
    3. Spread bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish with sauce. Layer 1/2 of the ziti, 1/2, the sausage, 1/2 of the ricotta, and 1/2 the mozzarella. Spoon half of the sauce over top. Repeat layers. Sprinkle top with remaining 1/2 teaspoons basil and Italian seasoning.
    4. Bake in preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes.

    THIS RECIPE WAS TAKEN FROM A WEBSITE, BUT ITS VERY SIMILAR TO THE WAY MY FAMILY MAKES IT. RECIPE MIGHT YIELD A VERY LARGE SERVING. ADJUST AS NECESSARY.

    Jay Sensei's Awesome Pico De Gallo

    8 Tomatoes Diced
    Juice From 1 Lime
    1/2 Cup Cilantro
    1 Large White Onion Diced
    2-3 Large Jalapeños Chopped
    1 Clove Of Garlic Minced
    *OPTIONAL* Add Drops Of Habanero Hot Sauce (Preferably Ass Blaster) to Adjust Heat

    Mix as needed in bowl.
    Cover and let sit in fridge for 2 days or longer. The longer it sits, the better it tastes.
    Tastes great with Tostitos Hint of Lime or Hint of Jalapeno tortilla chips and on hot dogs and hamburgers.

    This isn't my recipe, but I can vouch for it being fucking amazingsauce.

    Bacon Explosion

    2 pounds thick cut bacon
    2 pounds Italian sausage
    1 jar of your favorite barbeque sauce
    1 jar of your favorite barbeque rub
    (optional: cheese)

    1. Create a 5x5 bacon weave (varies depending on size of bacon)
    [IMG]
    2. Add barbeque seasoning.
    3. Add a layer of sausage on top.
    [IMG]
    4. Cook the rest of your bacon and add on top. If taking the optional portion (my group's idea), a layer of cheese goes before the bacon.
    [IMG]
    5. Drizzle barbeque sauce over this layer. Add some more barbeque seasoning.
    6. Roll up all but the initial bacon weave into a sausage.
    [IMG]
    7. Now roll up the weave around the sausage. Make sure the seam is on the bottom to help keep it closed.
    8. Add barbeque seasoning to the outside of the heavenly monstrosity.
    9. Cook in a smoker at 225 degrees. The rule of thumb here is that for every inch of meat, it's an hour. So a 2.5 inch diameter = 2.5 hours of cooking.
    [IMG]
    10. Coat the entire surface of the sausage with the barbeque sauce from earlier in an even coat.
    [IMG]

    ENJOY!

    (Minus) Surgeon General's Warning: If you end up eating this heavenly awesome, don't expect to do anything productive for about 6 hours. Food coma is a 100% certified side effect. And it'll be amazing.

    Yeah. It's definitely for a day that you feel like being completely unproductive yet satisfied.

    We're considering adding more to this bad boy.

    I just became a culinary God.

    Double Deep Fried Velveeta Jalapeno Frito Bacon Sexplosion Bacon Cheeseburger.

    1. Make the original bacon explosion with a few key differences:
    1a. The velveeta cheese is required this time around.
    1b. Add jalapenos
    1c. Add fritos. Possibly of the barbeque variety, just to keep continuity.
    2. When finished with the bacon explosion, deep fry it.
    3. Cut into patty-sized slices.
    4. Make a double bacon cheeseburger (i.e. hamburger bun, sauces, bacon, cheese, patty, bacon, cheese, patty, bun). Where it says 'patty', insert fried bacon sexplosion patty.

    Enjoy the rest of your life. Which should be about the time it takes you to finish eating.

    If the fat and cholesterol don't get you, the fact that you're eating what looks like Clifford the Big Red Dog's poo probably will.
