Well I'm coming up to being 18 and one of the things to cross my mind was getting a tattoo. I need help deciding on what exactly to get, I'm unsure if I want to get something to do with my bloodline and heritage or something more personal to me. He's done a lot of research into our family history and has gone as far back as 12Century and claims we are long related to a member of the Knights Templar, something he's still researching. My last name 'Smith', or 'Smitan' meaning to hit or strike is the connection to a goldsmith or a smith, shaping metal and what-not. The idea from my dad: To have a Templar cross and on one side to have an image relating to the name 'smith' and on the other side to have something personal to me. As for me I'm not sure, basically I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas for me for a tattoo, can be something to do with the above or anything else. Or you can talk about anything tattoo related here. Ideas?
I'm not too sure what you should get but what I would suggest is that you go to a good tattooist, even if they're charging a lot more than other places. I say this from experience

If I could give you advice, I think the trend now..is having tattoo in both arms! I've noticed it to most of artist these days like Matt Heafy(Trivium), Dave McClain(Machine Head), John Lowery(White Zombie) and Chris Carrabba(Dashboard Confessional). They look good If you want you could check their tattoos but still whatever makes you happy you go for it! I think the idea about Knights Templar is epic!
I do love Warhammer yeah and some of those look badass, just hope I don't fall asleep and get 56 Warhammer figurines on my arm and body! Dooouwa! I don't know any of those bands, sorry. I'll definitely give it a look though to see
