Heard their song Over and Under on Sirius tonight and loved it. I got home and searched for them on the iTunes Music Store and yay, they were on there. After listening to the 30 second clips from the album, I had to have their CD, so I used up the remaining $5 from my gift card and the other $5 from my bank account and bought the CD and listened to it. It's fuckin awesome. Check them out at http://www.egyptcentralmusic.com and I highly recommend their CD. I also highly recommend buying it instead of other methods, since it's good music and they're a very unknown band and can use all the help they can get. Oh, and another plus to buying it, as far as I can tell, they're independent and not on a record label, so your money isn't going to the RIAA
Try www.myspace.com/egyptcentral and www.purevolume.com/egyptcentral, guys, because their website is a piece of shit. I'm liking "Over and Under". Edit: And "Home Again" is a damn good acoustic song. Great find, Todd.
agreed, nice find Todd. I tried the illegal way, to no avail, so I broke in and supported my $10 to them, lol.
yeah, I see it as being anti-religious.... but if you read their myspace thing, i would be too if I had that guy's life. wow, lots of crap. that might be saying that he had faith in religion, always look up, but nothing ever was fixed, so he gave up hope in life. atleast that's what I get from the lyrics at: http://www.songmeanings.net/lyric.php?lid=3530822107858549215
I found the full thing online, and holy shit, it's awesome. I'll be buying this one. Very nice find, again.
Awesome news for Egypt Central fans. They made the Top 20 songs countdown on Sirius's rock channel Octane (which is typically dominated by popular, heard of mainstream bands). So we're not the only ones who think they kick ass. Not sure what number they are on the countdown yet...when I hear I'll let you know. Edit: They were number 15. Not at the top, but still pretty damn good.
