How do you use other themes with your computer, other then XP? I've seen some diffrent start toolbars on the Post Your Desktop thread and i wanted to know how to do that.

    Firstly, patch your uxtheme.dll file.

    Then find a theme.

Pretty damn easy and resource-efficient unlike other methods such as WindowsBlinds, etc. ;)

there are different ways to do it. one of the ways that most users do is download window blinds, and then just download a theme.

since we are on a theme topic. i always see windows xp screens with a black task bar. it's usually just on xp professional. how do you do that? i've seen it in person and I know it's not a downloaded theme or anything

anyone know how to do this?

because i had to fix a friends computer and they're taskbar was like this. i asked how they did it and they said it was like that when they first booted up the computer. some displays used to be like this at best buy's, circuit cities, etc.

when xp first came out all the previews had the black taskbar.

i know you can get a theme for it, but from the looks of it I figured this was a color that it came with.

Might be a modified classic theme.
