Someone on LPL started a thread about what songs people would want to see Linkin Park do if they were to play MTV Unplugged or any stripped down performance. Some of the answers were interesting so I thought I'd ask the same question here. Here's what I said. In no particular order: (full band/multiple instruments) Crawling In The End Leave Out All The Rest The Messenger Numb Robot Boy Rolling In The Deep We Used To Wait (Arcade Fire cover) What I've Done Hands Held High (piano versions) Pushing Me Away My December Breaking The Habit Iridescent I know both Chester and Mike really like Arcade Fire, and their music is perfect for Unplugged sessions. Stripped down version of Robot Boy. The Piano version of Iridescent that Mike seemed very excited to do in that one LPTV episode. Hands Held High would be an interesting one. There's two ways they could go about doing it. A more full band version, with guitar, drums, etc. Or, a piano version. Mike's delivery on the raps could sound really great and powerful, almost like spoken word poetry. Hell, maybe even let Mike perform it solo, without the piano or the amen chorus from Chester.
Numb Iridescent Somewhere I Belong What I've Done No Roads Left In The End Burning In The Skies Shadow Of The Day New Divide Breaking The Habit
I know I'm going to get a lot of flak for this, but after The Messenger, and more recently Rolling in the Deep, I would love to hear Chester's spin on Hero of War from Rise Against.
I recently saw a New Divide piano cover on youtube and thought it was great. But it would have been even better if chester would have been singing it.
