This is my ultimate dream job. I posted this before, but this has been remastered and this just took me 8 hrs.to complete from 4pm to 11pm. This is in more detail than the other. "Given Up" by Linkin Park mv Setting: navy blue sky in a summer evening on a Friday or Saturday. Place: a popular neighborhood house party. This is a 2story house with a medium size lawn. Same size for the backyard & there is a medium size pool in backyard too. That is the full description. Who: this could be anybody's name. college sophomore guy (named John), he lives at house. There r 3 people who lives there. His parents hosts the house party. The 4th.main character is a "mad scientist". He, named Tim loves to work on experiments esp.with mixing products (okayed chemicals that isnt harmful) to drink. We will just call this: the substance. The rest of the people r from the same neighborhood. This is the mv: Very beginning before the music starts but with the mv has just started: (0:00 to 4:00)- Tim calls John's parents saying he can stop in for a few mins.to go to the party. Tim is in his basement. He has just checked off his list of making his substance. The title of his experiment says: the danza experiment. And Tim kept hearing all the time for 2 yrs.that the people wants to dance, but they never have the time to. There has been 2-3 people who moved out of this neigjborhood in that first yr.out of 2 yrs who became really great professional dancers. So, Tim, he also wrote down that question: is that the only way? If I (Tim) could at least get people to get the field (tempo) of a song, then the people would have their first lesson in dancing. To remember, all of this is written on Tim's check list for his danza (dance) experiment. He is in his basement. He puts that substance in a chemists bottle type & he shakes it up. He goes upstairs out of his house with that substance in his pocket. In his hand, he have his lab coat. He puts that in his helicopter which is down the street from the house that is having a big neighborhood party. The song starts. People r already over on the 1st.floor. The parents of John says that they can come & go as they are pleased. Tim is invited too. The parents r downstairs. INTRO 1: the clapping section only (1st. four seconds)- The guests r clapping with their hands high at the same tempo of song. INTRO 2: the guitar & drum starts. (05 to 23 seconds)- The parents r welcoming their guests as they come in. Tim also comes in without his lab coat. He does have his substance in his jacket pocket. VERSE 1: vocals start. (24 to 45 seconds)- The "mv camera" goes medium fast upstairs into John's room. John's door is slightly opened. John is upstairs in his room at his desk sitting down. He is writing the lyrics to this song. He erases words as if this is a brand new song. (the ending of John writing the lyrics is at "disgrace.") He does gets a little frustrated. so he puts down his pencil, stands up while moving his rolling desk chair & he walks out of his room to go downstairs. He stops walking downstairs at halfway. No one can see John. As he is there, he dips his head down & notices Tim leaving that table where the juice is. (That substance is clear & it is in a small bottle that chemists uses all the time to mix chemicals that r liquids.) Tim have already put that substance in the juice that is on the table. No one saw Tim put that substance in the juice. When right after the lyrics says "enemy", that is when Tim closes the front door behind him. (this action is at the part where u hear those tambarings from the drum kit.) REFRAIN 1: ( 46 to 1:09)- John continues to head downstairs finally. As he does, he notices that everybody is asleep while leaning against something so, they won't fall while asleep. Some are sitting on coutches fast asleep laying comfortablly with heads back like in a lazy way. John stops walking & he is like what in the world!? He looks around & see's everyone fast asleep. Right after when the lyrics say "say", then everyone wakes up in a fast way. [They stair while looking strange for 4 seconds. (this is at 1:00 when the lyrics say's "way")]. Then they all bend their knees all at the same time. As soon as they do that, they snap their fingers with their left hand 4 times while their left arm is down being slightly bent equally, while they are bending their knees up & down. After that 4 count, they all change hands. They r now snapping their right fingers while those arms are down, but they are all being slightly bent. Plus, they are all bending their knees up & down. To remind you, all of this snapping fingers & bending knees up & down, everyone is doing this all at the same tempo of the song. And the people does this as they are walking to the tempo of the song as soon as they all changed to their right hand to snap their fingers. As they are doing this, they are walking in very little steps, the one's that are inside of the house. It is still crowded there so the people are not walking to anywhere. Although, some have left the house. There were about 60 people at that house. Some people from next door neighborhoods stoped by at that house party. Some were in the backyard at that house& a little bit later, 30 people leaves that house, but they hang out outside very close by like a little down the street. That substance has definately been taken into effect on everone but John, at this point. ( So, above John is one of those thinking bubbles that is computer work). John is thinking ('What the fu.is wrong with me!?' exactly what the lyrics says.) VERSE 2: (1:10 to 1:32)- John walk runs (quickly walk) outside of the house through the front door. He is scared & freaking out at this point. So he goes across the street to look for help. He rings the doorbell. His neighbor answers, but all of a sudden, that same neighbor starts doing the exact same thing that the people at John's house is doing: snapping his right fingers with his arms down with that right arm being slightly bent while he is bending his knees up & down to the tempo of the song without him walking. that same neighbor is wearing a Linkin Park t-shirt. REFRAIN 2 : (1:33 to 1:54) + a little bit of the middle of the song= (1:33 to 1:58)- John looks to his right & see a small crowd of 30 people wearing a linkin park t-shirt. They are two houses down. They to are snapping their right fingers with that arm slightly bent. Both the right & left arm is down. Those people's knees are bent. And those people's knees are bending their knees up & down. They are all doing all of that to the tempo of the song as they walk to the tempo of the song while they walk towards John. Middle of song: (1:56 to 2:44) In this action setting its song duration is (1:59 to 2:44) The mv camera goes above those same 30 people and there is the Linkin Park band in concert setting. They are on a type of platform (stage) that can go really high in the sky, even taller than the buildings about the same level of the lowest cloud, but not the fog. So, the concert setting is that the band are playing their instruments, Chester (the singer of this band & song) have his mic at standing height. There are lights on the edge of the street on both sides. They are bright enough to where the viewers of the mv can see the band perfectly. So, when Chester screams his softest at the first "misery" like at the song duration of 2:12 that stage goes up as high as the first floor windows of those 2 story houses. When Chester screams his 2nd. scream at "misery" at 2:17, that stage goes as high as the roof of those 2 story houses. By the time Chester screams "misery!" his loudest & at his longest at 2:25, that stage goes high as those clouds I mentioned earlier. The mv camera also goes high up fast at the same height of linkin park. Once Chester's note go to next note in that last "misery" at 2:28 into the lower optive, that stage goes down as low as the roof of those 2 story houses. Once that note has ended, that stage goes all the way down to ground. To remind you, the band is for real playing their instruments & singing at that whole point of time. REFRAIN to end: (2:45 to 3:09) The mv camera goes above the crowd back to where John is. John looks really freaked out. He starts running fast down the street. He sees a helicopter on ground. That door opens. John goes inside. He says thank u. And the driver of that helicopter turnes around in his seat & laughs: "hehehehehe" scientifically, deeply & in a scary way. It was Tim. Plus, he had on his lab coat with a wolf green contact in his right eye. The end! Shown at the very end: Don't worry, that substance lasts up to 15 minutes! Then everyone is back to normal! Nothing happens to John by the way. And Tim tells John the whole truth about what Tim did to the people that John saw doing with the tempo situation about the danza experiment in details & John is relieved. ( This information is typed at the end for the viewers to see. This will be in two sections. So its duration is 10 seconds each.* By watching Linkin Park's mv's, they all seem to be based on science& fantasy of some sort like In The End& others. So, this mv is in their field! ) Total mv length: (7:29). As you saw in the reading, this mv has been inspired by Michael Jackson's mv called "Thriller." This is Linkin Park mv is an inspired piece & it's a dedication to Michael Jackson! That also explains the theme of mv:danza (dance), the wolf eye contact lense, that laugh, how Tim turns around in his seat, the long intro (before the music starts), & the whole time duration of mv being 7:29 out of the normal song duration being 3:09.
I am also on that stage along with linkin park! I am playing my keyboard at that time of the middle of the song! For example, where Chester sings misery. At that whole scene! !! Btw, im on my phone now & I just finished messaging one of my youtube friends this full mv description. She is a manager of a music company!! !
