don't know why but every time i am on LPA people around me really criticize linkin park and hate them with passion... really i don't say anything back. what do you do or what will you say if that happens to you?
I think Somewhere I Belong is a borderline terrible song. By me saying that, am I hating Linkin Park with a passion? No, because I also love Hybrid Theory, parts of Meteora, M2M, and a Thousand Suns. We don't have any rules stating that everyone must love everything about Linkin Park in order to post. That would be ridiculous. As a result, you're bound to see negative things here and there about the band. And as long as people are being respectful with their opinions, we not only allow people to post them, we encourage them to. That's essentially the whole point of a forum. If we didn't allow negative things to be said about the band, the forums would be boring and no debates would take place. So, if you see a remark about Linkin Park, or anything else, that you disagree with, feel free to have a debate with that person and post what you think.
Looking back, I see that I did misread your post a little . But the same logic applies to real life. But there's only so much you can do. Sometimes you have to accept the fact that people have different tastes in music.
i agree but does that give other people the right to criticize or discriminate a band for changing their style??? to me it just doesn't make any sense...
It's a lot easier to recognize either a criticism or praise of the band if it has some reasons to back it up. Personally, I get upset when someone hates the band or anything with a passion without being fairly knowledgeable of both sides. It's impossible to know a little bit about everyone and everything, but don't be so vocal if you're uninformed. And most importantly, you've got to be able to understand and respect the other person's argument.
thats my problem... i respect other people's argument about certain topics but then if they are uninformed and they still proceed with their argument that my problem my question is... concerning LP how do you retaliate?
Just realize some people are going to have different opinions, and that's OK and healthy. If you walk away from an argument, it doesn't mean you "lost." Sometimes it's better to just leave because most arguments, especially on the Internet, get to a certain point when it becomes useless bashing and ignorant insults.
true, i find that if you lose an argument it actually stirs up the person it actually doesn't men you lost.
I believe that if LP keeps making and plays the same type of music over and over again, they would have broken up and went their separte(?) ways years ago. I'm glad to have them the way they are! Alot of people here fuss and whine about why they're like this. Nothing better to do then to accept it and enjoy LP music until the day they do break up. .......in about 20-25 years!
Haters gonna hate has merged been more appropriate. Every band has its haters, sometimes for logical reasons, sometimes not so much. I don't really understand the hate for Lp but being as big of a fan that i am I guess I wouldn't
