Linkin Park has just revealed that Poppy will be the support act for the upcoming South America tour dates. This leg of the From Zero World Tour is the very next one on the band's agenda after their North American tour comes to a close with tonight's show in Seattle, and this is all the more reason to be excited when Linkin Park once again comes to Brazil. To say that Poppy has made a splash in the heavy / alternative rock space would be a major understatement. In 2020, she emerged with her third album, I Disagree, which saw her drawing from some heavier influences to create something markedly different to the more pop-leaning music of her earlier works. Poppy has continued to pull at that thread ever since, her profile growing to new heights with her most recent (and even heavier) album, 2024's Negative Spaces. Along the way, she has toured with the likes of Bring Me The Horizon and Bad Omens, netted a couple of Grammy nominations for "Best Metal Performance" (the first solo female artist to do so) and, alongside collaborators Knocked Loose, brought hardcore music to a very visible mainstream platform, marking a historic moment for the genre. Poppy most recently appeared on the joint single "End of You", teaming up with Amy Lee and Courtney LaPlante (from Evanescence and Spiritbox, respectively): Earlier this year, Poppy and Linkin Park shared a stage when they both performed sets at Nova Rock, but, now, she will be serving as direct support for all seven dates when Linkin Park takes their From Zero show to South America.
