With a mind to the U.S. leg wrapping up and the fact that this tour cycle has gone on for over a year now, I wanted to check in and ask what songs in particular you guys are really loving now when they're done live, this far in. I've personally really struggled to connect to most of the newer (and usually transposed) arrangements of older songs, but one of the songs I think Emily particularly sounds great on is "What I've Done".
Also, really all of the From Zero material, beside maybe Good Things Go, which I think isn't near as good live as on the record. Special mention to Two Faced for the crowd reaction.
I haven't seen "Good Things Go" in-person but it does seem a bit weird live to me. But I really love the visuals they have for performances of it, so I will give it that! I absolutely loved "IGYEIH" live in Nashville. It was so good. Other major highlights from my first LP live experience were "Faint" and "The Catalyst" - both really got me going. "Faint" is just as good with Emily as ever and it's just such a banger. And the ending of the "The Catalyst" really is an experience in-person! I was also pleasantly surprised by how good "New Divide" sounded live, even though I'm quite ambivalent toward the studio recording. "When They Come for Me" in its current format is also cool, and even if I wish it had a full-band rendition it's still a favorite song of mine. I wasn't as big of a fan of "Crawling" with the pitch-shift; I felt like it lost a lot of its power. That's the only one of the transpositions I feel like doesn't work so well. I personally also dislike transposed "In the End" just because it means I struggle to sing it in the proper octave. But it sounds good objectively lmao.
