Image credit: @amigoandco on Instagram Linkin Park returns to Bogota, Colombia for the second year in a row! After going twenty four years without a show, Colombia now seems to be on the yearly cycle for shows, something I'm sure the local fans appreciate. Linkin Park has been on a month long break after their last show, which was a random surprise five song set that they played at Kai Cenats house during his third Mafiathon. The band came out when Kai hit a record 768 thousand subscribers, revealing themselves via some demolition and destruction before launching into 'What I've Done'. After that they played 'Heavy Is the Crown', 'In the End', 'The Emptiness Machine', before ending with 'Faint'. You can watch the entire performance below, the band had just ended their North American tour the night before and with this "show" taking place at 3AM, the band is delightfully exhausted. But the last ACTUAL show the band played was in Seattle, Washington, on September 24 where they put an end to their grueling North American tour that they spent all August and September on. Setlist wise it was pretty standard, with 'Lying from You', 'Stained', and 'Crawling' taking up the rotation spots early in the set, 'CASTLE OF GLASS' was played in the rotation spot it shares with 'LIES GREED MISERY', and 'Casualty' taking up the "heavy" rotation slot after the Mike solo medley. For the Act 3 rotation slot the band played 'Over Each Other', while Act 4 got 'A Place for My Head'. The main set ended with 'Heavy Is the Crown' and 'Bleed It Out', and the band closed out the set and that leg of the tour with 'In the End' and 'Faint' The rest of the band invades Alexs' personal space in his laser cage How many members of Linkin Park does it take to play the intro to In the End? At the last Bogota show the band had plenty of technical issues, but still delivered one hell of a show. They first played 'The Emptiness Machine' with the issues, and then restarted it with less technical problems. Between 'The Catalyst' and 'BURN IT DOWN' the show had to be paused so that issues could be worked out, and while it might've helped some, the pause didn't fix all issues. For 'Over Each Other', Emily had problems with her in-ear monitors, and there also seemed to be some issue with her guitar. Take 1 of 'The Emptiness Machine' Take 2 of 'The Emptiness Machine' Problems aside though, it was a great first show for the crowd in Bogota. Setlist wise there has been a few changes since last time the band played here, with some songs being permanently removed. 'Breaking the Habit', 'Leave Out All the Rest', and 'My December' have all been missing from the setlists for 2025, instead the band has added all of the From Zero songs (including 'Up from the Bottom', 'Unshatter', and 'Let You Fade' from the deluxe version). Also added to a rotating spot in the setlist is 'LIES GREED MISERY', rotating with 'CASTLE OF GLASS', and the Mike solo medley is now also different, with Mike throwing in a third random verse in the transition between 'When They Come for Me' and 'Remember the Name'. With the band being off the road for a month, do we think they've worked out any new songs for this South American run? 'Blackout' was recently mentioned by Phoenix as a song he'd wanna play, 'QWERTY' was talked about earlier in the year thanks to some comments by Colin, and since they've added two live debuts from The Hunting Party on this album cycle, maybe they'll pull out 'War' or 'Mark the Graves'? For all of these South America shows, the band will be joined by Poppy as their opener. Poppy has appeared once before in a Linkin Park show, joining Bad Omens for the song 'V.A.N' on November 8th, 2024 in Arlington, Texas. But now she will get the stage all to herself, surely delivering a great opening performance before Linkin Park. Is it possible that she will be brought on for a song in the LP set? We've seen a few openers join on 'One Step Closer', Lynn Gunn from Pvris joined on 'BURN IT DOWN', and Jean Dawson joined the band on 'CASTLE OF GLASS' for a few shows, so what song could Poppy join the band for? I still can't believe I'm going! It feels surreal that I will be able to see them live after all these years, I think I'll cry during all the show lol. Hopefully they have a new song prepared! I would love to hear Blackout or anything from THP.
