The From Zero World Tour continues through South America into Brazil with a show in Curitiba, to continue the band’s tour across the continent. The only new location for the band on this South American run, Curitiba kicks off a three-show stint across Brazil to end the South America leg, followed by São Paulo and the country's capital of Brasília, before their final performance of 2025 at Mexico City's Corona Capital.

The band will be playing at Estádio Major Antônio Couto Pereira, the historic stadium that is home of Coritiba Foot Ball Club. With a conservative capacity of 40,502 just in the seats, likely more with the addition of standing room, the stadium is sure to resound with the cries of Brazil's notoriously high-octane fans, who brought the Internet sensation “Come to Brazil” to Linkin Park comment sections many years ago.

    :come2brazil:

As Curitiba is a first for the band, there isn’t any performance history to speak of, though there were plans for a tour stop during the LIVING THINGS cycle, at Estádio Vila Capanema. What would have been the band's first show in Curitiba was ultimately axed, however, when the tour routing was altered. The 2012 Brazil run still wound up comprising four headlining shows, the most the band has played in the country in one go: São Paulo, two nights in Rio de Janeiro, and Porto Alegre.

Before that, Linkin Park’s appearances in Brazil were limited, with their first visit in 2004 on the tail end of the Meteora run, when they played in São Paulo for the Chimera Music Fesvital. It wouldn't be until 2010 they returned, playing at the SWU Music & Arts Festival in Itú. It was around this time, with the rapid proliferation of social media across those pivotal years of the band's career from the Minutes to Midnight to LIVING THINGS cycles, that online Brazilian superfans emerged in force and “Come to Brazil” spread to the Linkin Park fanbase.

Audience footage of Linkin Park performing “No More Sorrow” at SWU Music & Arts Festival in 2010.

Linkin Park also included a few more appearances in Brazil for their touring schedules supporting The Hunting Party and One More Light, with Belo Horizonte and Brasília in 2014, and São Paulo in 2017 just before the release of their seventh studio album.

Following the band’s return in September 2024, Brazil then secured a spot on the From Zero World Tour's initial arena run. The band ended up with two dates in São Paulo, on the album’s release day as well as the following day, announcing a second date after the first quickly sold out. The two massive sold-out dates at Allianz Parque once again demonstrated the fervor of Brazilian fans, with anomalies such as circle mosh pits for even midtempo folky numbers like “CASTLE OF GLASS.” Linkin Park also announced they had filmed the shows for a theatrical release, though that has yet to surface still, with some fan speculation that it has been cancelled entirely.

The live debut of “Two Faced” in São Paulo during Linkin Park’s first show at Allianz Parque, on From Zero’s global release day.

The band's recent shows in South America have been full of energy and incredible performances. It’s been said many times, but the band’s consistent energy across one of their heaviest touring years in over a decade has been nothing short of outstanding. The band’s most recent performance in Santiago was no exception, seamlessly continuing the energy that fans saw in pro-shot quality in Buenos Aires four days ago.

“A Place for My Head” live from Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The setlist rotations have shifted quite a bit from the A-B-C progression Linkin Park brought out at the beginning of the year in Mexico City, which leaves plenty of room for them to shake things up in Curitiba. Each night has brought small tweaks in the arrangement of song rotations, but at the very least “Up from the Bottom” has settled into its seeming new setlist position in the first act, moving up from Act 2 where it originally debuted in Austin, Texas, this past spring.

The most recent performance of “Up from the Bottom” in Santiago, Chile.

The band's opener for these South America performances, Poppy, has also continued to feature as a guest vocalist for “One Step Closer.” Only having skipped for the show in Lima, it seems safe to say she will return for Curitiba and the remainder of the South American dates.

It doesn’t seem there are too many surprises left up Linkin Park’s sleeves, but it is worth noting that “Unshatter” and “Let You Fade” still have not been seen since the summer/fall North American leg. If the band has any plans for further setlist tweaks, those could be potential songs they move into the setlist for these last few dates of 2025. It could also be equally likely we see neither for the remaining shows—stay tuned to find out! Either way, Linkin Park's terrific live form combined with Brazilian fans' massive energy should make Curtiba another great night on this South American run.

I almost just made this whole post "Come to Brazil: A History" since Curitiba is a blank slate...but at some point I decided I didn't want to dig through LP's social media comments from over a decade ago.

I've asked Kevin to include those images in my posts if he really feels compelled to, and he typically hasn't done so, so I gather that they're not necessary

They're not mandated in the posts themselves, so if you don't wanna add one you don't have to. But I always include one for the tweets.
I always include one because on the frontpage it's looks better than just a wall of text with some YouTube videos.
