Image credit: @radnomadvisuals The Brazil leg of the From Zero World Tour comes to a close tonight in Brasília! After this, the band will finish their touring schedule for the year with one final performance in Mexico City! LPA Team members @Christøffer and @minuteforce have already given a wonderful overview of the band's touring history in Brazil with the tour posts for Curitiba and São Paulo, please give those a read for a more in-depth look. All that's left for me to talk about is the band's history in Brasília itself. Linkin Park has performed in Brasília once before - well, most of Linkin Park has. The band visited the city on October 19th, 2014 for the Circuito Banco do Brasil Festival. This was the second show of their brief excursion to Brazil, coming a day after their show in Belo Horizonte. Brad Delson missed both of these shows due to illness, but was present for the band's show in Los Angeles only 5 days later. Now, 5 days is absolutely long enough to recover from most illnesses, but in June 2012, just before the release of "LIVING THINGS", Brad had missed the bands short promo trip to Japan, being replaced by Mike's guitar tech Jeremy Nielsen for the two shows before reappearing a few days later at a performance in Los Angeles. At the time, this sparked a discussion within the fanbase - is the Big Bad Brad intentionally skipping the short flyaway commitments the band has? 10 or 11 years later, we can say, they may have been on to something! But, before there was an Alex Feder, there was a Benjamin Chandler - Brad's guitar tech stepped in for him for these two shows, and he absolutely crushed it. The two performances are documented in this short LPTV episode you can watch below. And, while Ben may have crushed it, the rest of the band had some issues, especially in Belo Horizonte. The band was plagued with technical issues such as Mike's keyboard malfunctioning for "Castle of Glass" & "Final Masquerade". The funniest mistake happened right after the first chorus of "Burn It Down", where Mike & Chester both got confused as to what part of the song is supposed to follow - the second verse or the rap verse? You can check out their solution to this problem below. No similar issues are expected tonight, thankfully. The band has been in tip-top form live for the whole year, and they're certainly looking to finish strong. So, what's been happening live on stage lately? Well, at their most recent show in São Paulo, the band certainly shook things up when they granted a fan's wish and did... a baby gender reveal live on stage. You can check out the sweet moment below. No spoilers, though! The core of the setlist remained unchanged from most of the recent shows, with the usual rotations taking place. The crowd was the highlight of the show in São Paulo, and Mike & Emily took several chances to applaud their energy and point out how much they loved Brazil and the Brazilian fans. Check out the madness in the crowd during this short excerpt of "Faint" - guys with flares (Emily told them to be careful!), one guy dressed as a security guard with fireworks in his hands standing in the middle of a mosh pit - this could only happen in Brazil! The day after the concert, the band headed to the Formula 1 race at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace, better known as Interlagos - a venue they've performed at in 2017 just days before the release of "One More Light". They were invited by the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team (not surprising given the band's previous associations with Mercedes), briefly interviewed during the pre-race show by Sky Sports reporter Martin Brundle, and Mike & Emily even got to wave the checkered flag at the end of the race. Usually the broadcast highlights this, but as the race was nail-biting until the very end, we could only catch brief glimpses of Mike waving the flag as the cars passed the finish line. Mercedes reserve driver & future Cadillac full-time driver Valtteri Bottas was in attendance for the bands show in São Paulo the night before the race (not as a promo, Valtteri is just cool like that). Check out some photos of the band with Mercedes F1 boss Toto Wolff, F1 boss Stefano Domenicali and Billy Idol among others. After tonight's show in Brasília, the band wraps up their touring for 2025 in Mexico City on November 16. They will then have a two month break before starting the 2026 "From Zero" shows in the Middle East, which will be a first for the band. Is the two month break going to be just a chance for the band to rest and spend the holidays with their families, or could there be some studio time as well? Either way, the break is well deserved! So, are you attending the show tonight? Did you see the band at any of their recent shows in Brazil? What was the experience like? Come and join the discussion in our forums! Upcoming Show: Nov. 16, 2025: Mexico City, Mexico
This South American run has been a great one to follow along with, and a fantastic end to LP's 2025 touring.
