    This is what I had to do earlier this year. I didn't cut myself off but I got rid of problematic places where I was over-consuming news and getting influenced to be negative and panicked.

    I think I'll try to go for something similar.

    It's such tricky stuff. I find it a hard line to hold, between on the one end staying a bit informed about what's going on, and on the other end falling in the rabbit hole of anxious doom scrolling, with all the distorted/instrumentalized/polarizing/agenda-seeking/performative stuff it entails.

    ... at least now I remember one reason why becoming a dev "coding-and-music" felt more compelling than keeping the political studies going :lol:

    How do you guys consume the news? I find that it also depends on the social media you use.
