Our very first LPTV episode for 2026 has arrived, giving us a glimpse into the creation of "Up From the Bottom", a track which appeared on the 2025 deluxe edition of From Zero. The song was also the lead single promoting that release and has come to be a highlight in the band's live shows. The footage shows band members Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson and Emily Armstrong convening in Shinoda's home studio at the end of 2024 to work on the song's lyrics and arrangement, throwing in a snippet of the "1.3" demo version (now surely added to the list of the fanbase's "holy grails"); Shinoda mentions that some of his lyrical ideas originated from sessions for 2010's A Thousand Suns. Then, in a second session shown, we see Colin Brittain stopping in to track some live drum parts under Shinoda's tight direction. Source: Linkin Park on YouTube
I always like seeing the process of recording instruments, maybe even more than the one of recording vocals. So those drumming bits were pretty neat!
