Linkin Park's fans in New Zealand rejoiced when the band first announced back in December that there would be an Auckland stop as part of the From Zero tour leg in March. However, they've since been left in the dark about what artist would play support at the sold-out event ... until today. Linkin Park revealed that New Zealand's alt metal femme fatale Vana will be opening up at the March 18 show at Auckland's Spark Arena.

Starting out as a one-woman operation based in Auckland, Vana (real name Yvonne Winckel) learned to play guitar, bass and drums by herself in addition to learning to produce her own music. That same fierce independence and focus was reflected in how she released songs and built up a considerable fanbase without any label support, crafting her own sonic identity without compromise. Years of grinding for an audience on platforms like TikTok paid off in short order; Vana's 2024 single "BEG!" (off her EP TRIAL & TERROR from the same year) amassed 7 million streams and established her one of New Zealand's most exciting new voices in alternative music.

Vana's music combines alt metal intensity with dance-pop and trap-influenced production flourishes, plus a killer sense of melody, drawing comparisons to acts like Poppy and Bring Me the Horizon. Visually, Vana draws influences ranging from cosmic horror to fantasy RPGs, with her signature bright-red hair look acting as a through-line. In late 2025, she was signed to Sumerian Records and is currently in the process of crafting a debut full-length.

Vana is still building up a profile as a live act, racking up experience with shows in New Zealand, Australia and the United States. Having previously played support for acts like Chase Atlantic and (more recently) Set It Off, late 2025 saw her launching her very first headline tour. Just over a month from now, on March 18, she will be bringing it to a sold-out crowd at Spark Arena as the opening act for Linkin Park ...

Alongside this announcement, Linkin Park also confirmed that Polaris will be opening at the Adelaide show on March 12. The Adelaide date was added in late last year, 4 months after the Australian run was initially announced. The Sydney-bred metalcore act is now playing support for all the Australian From Zero shows.

Didn't know her, but definitely has some Bring Me the Horizon / Poppy vibe.

Support acts for the world tour have been pretty cool overall.
