Absurd motivation to play the guitar no. 18428 : I've been keeping timesheets of my monthly playing hours since May 2020. Fed an AI with those sheets, asking it to interpret them. More of morbid curiosity than anything, because I knew the pattern. Response was "Initial peak years, followed by a long painful decline". ... This did wonders. I've now played more in the last 6 days than in the last 3 months.
I’ve had brief moments wanting to figure out vocal distortions and screaming in the past, mostly fruitless, but I’m pretty hype to say I’m finally starting to get it! Because of a mix of a band that has grabbed me for a few months now, they have a vocalist that has an infectiously animated style that’s messy with fry and screams, and Chris Liepe on YT. Pretty importantly, Chris Liepe, though. I just stopped trying to force it with Playboy Manbaby karaoke and started listening to how to actually build it instead of beginning with all-out naive trial and error and I’m feeling motivated and electric about what I’m already latching onto.
