Linkin Park is currently in the midst of their European run to wrap up the monumental From Zero world tour - in fact, the band is set to take the stage in Nürburg as Rock am Ring headliners just a few hours from now, a performance which will be streamed live online. But, apparently, that isn't enough. Knowing that this fanbase is all about those countdowns and real-world scavenger hunts, teasers have now appeared across multiple platforms, including a countdown appearing in the Spotify Canvas graphic for "Unshatter", street art in Hamburg (where the band just played two massive headline shows) and, finally, a website address hidden on new merch! unshattermovie.com currently shows a blank slate, so fan speculation is naturally running rampant. The most popular theory currently points to some sort of tour documentary or concert movie, but there are others suggesting some kind of "Unshatter"-based music video or short film. Either way, between the imminent Rock am Ring livestream and whatever this new announcement turns out to be, Linkin Park fans worldwide have much to be excited about right now. Stay tuned as we learn more about what's to come ...
If I had to guess I'd say something kind of live show tour film or something. Maybe this is what became of the São Paulo show we were promised in theaters. Possibly expanded? Always cryptic these days...
I'm assuming it's a concert film/tour documentary. "Unshatter" would be a great name for a Linkin Park comeback documentary.
Hyped I am After the awesome show on Monday in Hamburg, I'm ready for more. Looking forward ⏩ the rock am ring livestream
So in the teaser we're seeing footage from late 2022/early 2023 and new footage beeing filmed in May 2025 So it seems to be documenting quite a lot
If they're doing new footage from may 2025... is there a chance the movie drop might be timed with new music...?
I saw this mentioned on Reddit during the day yesterday as someone came across the Unshatter movie link but some were speculating whether it was real or not. It's nice to see this is confirmed now and it's a movie about the bands comeback. No doubt it'll be all sorts of different emotions - I remember I became emotional when the band returned and Mike said those first few words on stage back in September 2024 when they reappeared for the first time 7 years. I'm really looking forward to this and seeing what's covered.
If it's about them coming back I'd think Chester is a given at the very least for context as it relates to the band's fragmentation over the in-between years. They can't not talk about the reason the band went on hiatus in the first place I would think - and then it makes sense to have Chester footage in that situation. Feel like Rob could be more of a toss-up. But depending on how far back they go could be included in some archival footage.
I could definitely see them sprinkling in some of the OML studio footage that never saw the light of day
So that movie thing is finally happening, pretty sweet! Really though it went the dead-end project road
