Image credit: @radnomadvisuals on Instagram For their one and only UK performance of the year, Linkin Park heads over to Donington to close out the 2026 Download fesival! Linkin Parks history with the Download festival stretches all the way back to 2004, where they performed at both Download Scotland in Glasgow and the main regular Dowload festival in Donington. The later of the two shows took place the day before the bands iconic performance at Rock am Ring 2004, so it’s safe to say that the band was in top form and delivered one hell of a performance. The touring cycles of both Minutes to Midnight and A Thousand Suns brought the band back to the festival in 2007 and 2011 as well. But what most know “Linkin Park at Download” for is their 2014 performance. Last time that the band performed at Download UK they spent half their set playing Hybrid Theory from the front to the back live for the first time. There had been shows earlier in their career where they had performed all (or most of) the songs from the album, but never in album order. full show consisting of official and fan shot footage In 2017 the band headed out on a European festival run with a handful of non-festival headlining shows in Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK. Two of these festival shows were local editions of the Download festival, taking place in Madrid, Spain and Paris, France. As for the bands latest performance in the UK, last year the band performed at Wembley stadium for the first time! Despite much hype from the fans about the show with many expecting something special to be performed or for it to be filmed for a release or something like that, none of that happened. That didn’t stop the band from delivering one hell of a performance and having fun. And while no full live release of the show happened, the band did release ‘The Emptiness Machine’ from the show. Most recently the band played two shows in Munich, Germany on the 11th and 12th, bringing the band back to the Allianz Arena, the same stadium where they in 2025 performed at the Champions League final. For the first show we got Set B, and for the second one we got Set C. Both of these sets were previously played in Germany on this tour at the bands two shows in Hamburg. For the first show the band threw in a special rotation song, bringing ‘With You’ out from the Rock am Ring set and into the rotation spots! At Rock am Ring the song was part of the festival edition of Set A as the opener, and that set is what should be played at Download, so will the song be performed, maybe even open the show? If you attended both Munich shows you sure got a lot of rotation songs; ’Lying From You’, ’Crawling’,’New Divide‘, ‘Stained’, ’With xYou’, Unshatter‘, ‘Good Things Go‘, ‘Over Each Other‘,’Points of Authority’, ’Somewhere I Belong‘, ’Cut the Bridge’, ’Casualty‘, ‘LOST IN THE ECHO‘, and ‘From the Inside’ were all performed. Full show from the second night on the 12th After this show the band heads over to Lyon, France for their last appearance in the country on the From Zero World Tour before heading to Spain for the first of three shows, with Rock in Rio in Lison temporarily interupting the short Spanish section of the tour! With live streaming becoming more accessible than ever, fans at home have been able to watch shows on social media via YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram livestreams from attendees.
