...So, I was walking through the mall, and I walked into the music shop. I was looking for a few CD's including Reanimation. While I was in the Linkin Park section I saw a "Hybrid Theory - Special Edition". It had the same art and things except the case was made like the Meteora and Live in Texas cases instead of the jewel case. I was wondering what exactly is different about this version (at this particular store it was $8 more than the regular Hybrid Theory) and if it is worth it to buy it although I already have HT. Also, sorry if there's already been a thread like this, I'm not sure :(

That still didn't answer my question... But ya, it's true. I don't know if they have a store called "FYE (For Your Entertainment)" wherever you live, but that's where I saw it.

It has a bonus CD with Papercut, Points of Authority and A Place For My Head (all live at the Docklands Arena in London), My December and High Voltage. I don't know if its worth the extra cash, but I got it because I never bought the regular version, I just "borrowed" :)shifty:)my sister's.

And it's not a digipak, it's a slip case. A slim cardboard cover is the best way I can describe it.

    Yeh, it's not digi-pak.

It's the 2 disc set and it's just got a cardboard cover...

I don't know if they still sell it there but if you really want it then it's at CD-Wow for a cheap price... That's where I got it...

I'd give an exact link but my computer won't let me search for Linkin Park for some reason... :wth:

It is the Japanese Import. What's the difference between a digipack and a slipcase?

When I looked at amazon it's said Imported. Heres a link:
    http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detai...=glance&s=music

    But...
When I went onto tower records it said this:
    http://www.towerrecords.com/product.aspx?p...d0ff3ffa55172b3

A digi-pak like folds open and stuff, a slip case is just a cardboard cover with a regular jewel case inside.

Tower Record's info is wrong, High Voltage is no AC/DC cover. Their's is selling for less though. That's good.

edit: And it is a real 'Special Edition' release, it was just never released in the USA, hence the tag "import".

    Oh. Damn.

I was hoping that they finally heard me and fulfilled my request for a re-released digipak version of Hybrid Theory.

    Sad.
