Resize in Photoshop?

    If I just wnt to resize one image in photoshop, how would I do it? I just got it today so I'm really n00bish.

    EDIT: And I don't want a transparent fill, I want my actual layer to have a transparency effect added to it.

    Edit > Free Transform.

    Something like that.

    Just look for "Free Transform" or push ctrl+t and it should show a resize box around your image.

    Thanks. By any chance do you know if you can add a tranparancy gradient? I want it to kind of fade out from to to bottom.

    You pick out colors with the gradient, lets say red and white. Below that box you'll see tranparancy thing from 100% to 0%. Chose which color you dont want see and put that on 0%. Yeah..something like that :lol:
