    Okay, so I have a video I want to save. I've been able to extract a URL from the site's media player that I can use to watch it in Windows Media Player, but the URL is dynamic therefore, I can't just save it straight. Does anyone know a program they can recommend for saving web video?

    You mean that it's a streaming video?

    The method I would use is combersome, but not altogether ridiculous.

    It would require extremely basic html knowlegde, but i'll do it for you.

    Basically, copy that into a notepad document, and save it as a .html document. Open it as a html document, and you'll be able to right-click the link and "Save Target As".

    I don't promise it will work becuase it depends what format the video is.

    I already tried that, many times in fact. It doesn't work, the link is dynamic, not static.

    Example:

    www.lpa.com/videos/mikesings&p=1&=bgplayer&mrv=wma

    What I always do is this;

    Right click anywhere on the page, click view source. Browse through the document for a ".wma", ".mpg", or any other video extension. Then I edit one of my posts with the link to the video, making it a hyperlink, Right click and save target as. Then delete/re-edit your post.

    That's if the extension itself is there and they're streaming directly from it. What page is it? I can do it for you. If it's a "=wma" type of file, get "WM Recorder".

    Bwuhah, that's what I always do. :lol:

    But it's streaming, so that won't work.

    This is quite complex, unfortunetly. NBC has made their own coding for the files, so the source code isn't much help. The damn WM Recorder isn't freeware and I don't feeling like installing another proggy.

    If using firefox try saying "Tools>Page Info", then scroll down the list until you find your file. It should be embedded.
