Five songs from Falling Up's new album 'Dawn Escapes' have been posted on http://www.purevolume.com/fallingup/music . This stuff is great. I didn't have huge expectations for it because 'Crashings' got old on me quickly, but this new music is a huge improvement to me. It kind of reminds me of TRUSTcompany, but not alot. I love it! I'm seriously thinking about pre-ordering it on Amazon. The album comes out October 25th.
wow, great band man..... I REALLY like the beginnings of Searchlights, great song. thanks for the recommend
That's cool...I went to see them locally and got their e-mails and have talked to them a few times. They're really cool guys...for some reason he calls me "Tera", though. :S It's his nickname he gave me and I don't know if I like it....
Yah this stuff sounds really good. I will definitely check this cd out when it comes out. I liked their first album but like you said it kinda got old fast. Some songs just didn't flow with the rest of the cd liek Jacksonfive.
Somebody posted these guys before. They're an okay band. I loved them at first, but after realising they were actually singing about God, it kinda put me off. Their songs don't have a lot of depth either, I got tired of them very quickly. Hopefull though, their new album is an improvement.
I find it hard to believe that bands like this and Waterproof Blonde etc. are still underground...Falling Up maybe christian rock but their still awesome
yup, nothing wrong with christian rock, so long as they don't outright say "Jesus" or "God" in the lyrics, you can really decipher the lyrics however you want. and there are a lot of good christian bands, I can't name any, because I really have no clue which ones are, unless I'm at their website, lol...

[/b][/quote] Here we go: 12 Stones Alter Bridge (arguable) As I Lay Dying The Beautiful Mistake Blindside Burning Bridges The Burning Season The Calling (arguable) Creed (arguable) Dead Poetic Demon Hunter Emery Further Seems Forever Haste Haste the Day Hopesfall (arguable) Lifehouse (arguable) On Broken Wings P.O.D. (arguable) Thousand Foot Krutch Underoath Those are the Christian/arguably Christian bands that I've got in my playlist on Winamp. I'm not entirely sure about Burning Bridges or On Broken Wings, but I'm more than 50% sure that they're Christian. Either way, most of the other bands (except the bands I've marked as "arguable") are Christian or Christian-influenced. The ones that are marked "arguable" could go either way, really.
Usually I go to christianrocklyrics.com and go through the bands that are listed there. Falling Up is amazing. I need to download some of their music.
So you stopped liking a band when you realized that they were singing about God? That is the dumbest reason to stop listening to a band. Music is music.
