Does anybody know something about the new Deftones album ? I'm into Deftones now more than ever so i can't wait
It's due in May/late spring - Chino was still recording vocals last month. Two of the titles suggested are Lovers and Saturday Night Wrist.
Saturday Night Wrist was a fan suggestion that someone in the band liked, but I don't think they'll use it.
Abe Cunningham said that recently, but I'm pretty sure Chino said it actually was the title at one point, which led to a lot of sources saying it was the official title for a while. I don't know about Lovers being a tentative title for the last album but that was also touted as a possible title at one point.
Yeah, I do remember Lovers being the title for the album at one point. Found a couple tenative song titles for the album though (off Wikipedia, so take it with a grain of salt) "Guns Dont Kill Buffalo, Abe Kills Buffalo" and "Diamond". Love the first one
The Deftones have finally finished work on their upcoming new album. This is good news for fans since reports of problems and even breakups have surrounded the band for the past few years. "I don't want to sit here and complain because these things happen to everyone," said drummer Abe Cunningham. "But if there was a VH1 'Behind the Music' special on us, it would be the perfect episode with divorces and all kinds of crap. It was just lack of communication. Thankfully, we've been reattaching our limbs." The new album is expected out in late spring or early summer. Cunningham said the following about the new material. "Actually, if you look at our last record, I refer to it as 'Dark Days' because that's basically what it was," Cunningham says of the band's last album. "It's kind of an incomplete record from my viewpoint. I think it's a good record [with] a lot of good songs but the new album, from start to finish, is a very complete record and has all of the extremes that we like. I'd say it's kind of hard."
