Edge of Silence Dead in the silence, Moving for the edge, Touching the closing void, Your mouth speaks no more, And your heart remains a stone, But while I wait for night, The sunlight seems so bright, To this darkened heart, I've kept my thoughts hidden too long, But now they come crashing down, And every word round me, Drives me to the edge of silence, Waiting in the wall of noise, Sunsets break waves away from my head, Holding all your tears, The scars of life will not drain, Any more quiet from me, Now I speak my mind, Now I let you all know my heart, I've kept my thoughts hidden too long, But now they come crashing down, And every word round me, Drives me to the edge of silence, I kept all my sin, Still drowning within, Your tears I spill, Haunting me still, So I speak from the edge of silence. ...thoughts please...
I do think it is more of a song than a poem...that's what it's meant to be, right? That part really brought an edge to that poem. And I honestly admire this for being sad ayet not very emo.
