Hey guys, I was working on a "Hit The Floor" remix, and I just figured I'd show you where I'm at so far, so here it is... *edit* the preview is off my host now
*Walks into the thread whistling, thrusting feet way up into the air, looking at the ground and arms moving like an old person jogging* Defman remix... *Eyes illuminate, and walks back out the door just as he came in, whistling*
Elie, your one cool guy.
Haha, I wish. Anyways, you're remix is good. Just please complete it before you post it up here, cause honestly, and not to put you down in anyway, it's not that good at all. I have no doubt in my mind it will be better when completed, but, we have nothing to judge your art to but to other finished remixes which compare much greater than yours. BTW, i'm cool baby. VERY cool. Hehe.

i put it up as a preview so I could get some feedback on whether it was doing good or not so I could know for myself I wasn't wasting my time.
I wasn't beating around the bush by saying 'You're wasting your time'. I gave you my feedback, saying it wasn't all that good, lol. It sounds too cut up, if that makes any sense. I'm trying not to be too technical, but here it goes. Basically, when you began the song, it was exactly the same as the original for like about 20 seconds (a big no-no, cause people can mistake it for the real thing, and get bored, and close their player). Next, instead of hearing something "new" or "Remastered", all we heard was the same parts of the song in a different order. Trust me, the order is good as it is, I mean, Mike is a proffessional, and so are the others who put it together. So in conclusion, unless you're going to revamp it, like some other peope who have posted some remarkable remixes here on the forum, then in the eye of the public viewer, it will be nothing but a weaker version of the original. This is all feedback, no hurt feelings required. You wanted feedback, I took my time and gave it to you, and I hope it helped you in some way, shape or form. BTW, good luck on this project, and future ones to come.

im gonna start over, well i found stuff to add, but it really didnt mix in...so til i find so pretty good loops im post-poning remixing this song.
When mixing songs, i've found that if you throw in some hidden sounds in the background, which are normally unnoticed, it will add a spark to the song, even if they are not plain as day. Can I reccomend http://www.flashkit.com 's sound loops? Try them, they should help.
Unless you can't read, you should realize he just said he's not doing it anymore for the time-being.
I really don't want to talk about people's vision's, especially when he said: I directed him to some great loops. I don't really like my vision insulted, but if you like doing so, whatever floats your boat.
My boat sinks when you open your mouth. Defman, I'm going to close this for now. PM me when you start your remix again and I'll re-open it for you.
