The night sky like that time
    I promised not to forget
When you danced in the lilies
And the snow lit your smile

There's a whimper in the rain
    Like the cries of before
    That night and the meaning
And the snow has never come again

Even in my dreams you can't come back

The moonlight shines on our lake
And I can see you again
    Turning and leaving again
Leaving a wound in my heart

There is a hope I need and cannot fulfill
And it's tearing a hole inside me
    You're never coming back
But I'll be with you soon

And the moonlight shines the way

    I really like you're writing.

Am I right in thinking that this is about the death of a loved one, with the surviving lover planning on committing suicide so that they can be reunited in death?

    Thank you.

And you're correct about the meaning of the poem
