What do you use to manage the wireless signals? Windows, or some software?
I'm thinking it's either - the card is too weak to pick up a signal (faulty card?) - perhaps drivers/software installed on the computer - D-Link...
What's farther, your router, or the other signals? Also, what's closer, your computer or your laptop?

What makes you think it's the router causing the problem? Your laptop works fine, hence it can't be the router, since there's at least one...
