I couldn't even find a picture of Sam Riley to compare to Ian Curtis. He must be a newcomer. Although I doubt this will turn up in theaters, I'll probably rent it/buy the DVD.
Ugh, New Order covering more Joy Divison. Great. They've already ruined "Love Will Tear Us Apart", now they might ruin classics like "She's Lost Control" or "Dead Souls". Damnit. Anyways, I'll check this movie out for sure. Joy Division is one of my favorite bands, so I've been interested ever since I heard that there was a movie being made. I wonder if the movie will just cover Ian's life from birth to death, or from birth to band to death to aftermath.
I honestly had no clue this fillm was even being made, or the concept was even there. How long has this been known about? Also, if it's based on his wife's book, it'll probably cover what that did, I would assume. But I guess it's up to the director. I might have to see if our library has that book.
