I think by that you mean how the sky gets lighter? Yes that's on purpose.. I'm going to bump that some so it's more obvious and I need to fix her face and add stars....then I'm done...I'm running out of paint though...that sucks! Thanks for the comment!
That's not what I meant, actually. The colours are very strong against each other in general. It may just be your style. Looking at this again, I prefer the purple crest thing on the dragon in the first picture. It could be good like this too, just add more tones like you did first – this way it looks a bit off. Keep posting.
