For the past few days, I've been working on a remix of "Crawling" as a fan project, and it actually turned out better than I had expected. It's not the greatest remix and it still needs a lot of tweaking and mixing done to it to sound perfect so that everything flows together, but it's really good how it is right now. If you would like to get the demo version of this remix before it is tweaked and mixed and finalized, hit me up on AIM (XxHiTtHeFlOoRxX) or MSN (akumalpa@msn.com) and I'll be happy to send it to you, but I won't send it to more than three people at once. Once this remix is finalized, I'll try to upload it to my web server so it can be downloaded freely. Act fast, as I'll probably only have this demo until Wednesday or Thursday. Feel free to leave all comments, good or bad, here. Your comments will help me adjust things to make it better for the finished version. EDIT: Please note that if you get the demo of this remix, the demo is called Work In Progress Remix. The final version of this remix will be called Raindrops Remix. Please don't think that these will be two separate remixes. Thanks.
It was pretty f*cking cool from what I heard. So creative, it was strange(in a good way) but hey...its a brainchild of Will. He's like Joe, we never know whats going on in that head of his .
:chemist: I still can't get the bells from the beginning to loop how I want to. I want to have them loop from the time they come into the song until the second time the chorus is heard... if you've heard my remix you'll know where that is.

It's abstract, lengthy, has awesome ending, "raindrops" part flows well, and the Foreword part in the beginning... ALL GOOD THINGS!
Thank you. Also, when you guys comment, be sure to describe everything you like about it and everything you don't like about it. I can't make it better if you just say that it sucks or it's good. You have to tell me everything you like and everything you dislike, like From The Inside here did. (But he did it in an IM so he didn't type it all up here again, lol.)
Will, this remix is amazing. You've certainly put alot of effort into it, and the raindrops part is really catchy, there are just a few things you could fix. First, after the normal Crawling sequence when it changes to the Reanimation Crawling, it would be really awesome if the Reanimation part was a little louder, kinda to match the normal Crawling's volume, or at least have it only a little bit softer. Second, at about I believe 1:40, during the little instrumental, that off beat bass sound kinda makes it sound a bit clumpy if you know what I mean, I think it would sound good if you could kinda blend it in with the beat. Other then these two things, the remix now is really amazing, the best fan remix ive heard so far. Hopefully this wont be the last remix you do, I look forward to the finshed product. Oh, I also forgot to mention that I like the way how at the end, it has this climax feeling to it. Anyway, keep up the good work.
After the first "Crawling" sequence, you're not talking about the part before the little instrumental part, are you? If you're talking about after, I like that idea. I can try to blend it a little better. Yeah, I noticed that too. I've been trying to make a decent loop of the bells for a few days now, and I haven't gotten it down pat yet, but when I do I'll be sure to make those match up, because that does make it sound clumpy. I'm also going to try to lengthen the remix a little bit for (I already redid the beginning and shortened the remix by about 40 seconds, and now I want to get that time back). The ending will definitely stay, though, because it gives it that sense of epicness. Thanks for your comments.

Yes, thats what I meant, try and blend those two parts together a bit better.
WOW....i gotta say, major props man. I just listened to it for the second time, and i love it. I love how you incorporated sounds from all of their stuff into it, i say when you finish this you should try with some other songs
I did. I didn't think it was fair for you to have your topic pinned, when ordinarily it wouln't be.
Yet, the tribute album is allowed to be pinned? I consider this an LPA project.
Yet, the tribute album is allowed to be pinned? I consider this an LPA project.
The tribute albums directly involves the members of these Forums. Your remix does not, its simply you remixing it. I dont believe anyone is helping. So I dont really think its an LPA Project.
Not to sound like a prick, but i've seen over 10 other remix threads, none of them got to be pinned and they were asking for people's opinions. Oh well, it doesnt really matter.
