My friends computer is having some resolution problems. It doesn't happen all the time, but it seems like maybe once or twice a week. When she boots her computer back up from standby all of her icons are enlarged and moved to the left side of her screen. She'll fix her resolution and move them to where she had them and it'll be fine for a while, but it will still happen again. What's the main cause of this? She's not the strongest on computers and doesn't use hers for much other than messengers, writing papers, or browsing the web. Any clue? Thanks.
what OS is she using? and does this only happen when she boots up from stand by, or even when starting up fresh?
XP Home I believe. As far as I know it's only when she boots up from stand by. She said it happens every week to 2 weeks. She also says that she tries to turn her computer off as much as possible so I'm guessing it only happens when she boots it from stand by.
