I've written this with the inspiration I get from watching the same beautiful sky every night from out of my bedroom window... Hope you like it. Advice please.
    --------

Clouds please don't stop passing by
So I can enjoy the yellow light at the horizon and in the sky.
A church is the only thing that sticks out of the
black blend and all the clouds.
    Birds flying up and down
    they aren't scared of heights
Sadly I am when I'm standing here like tonight.

    Dark changes into bright
    Down with the limelight
    Night fighting to last
    but the sun is winning
    The moons time has passed.

    Rejected and returning home
    from a battle long lost.
    Psychiatry won't help
    those you've stopped to fight
    The creatures of the night.

    A wind that sweeps around
and creeps out from under the ground.
Behind the planks off the floor
and through the cracks in the sealing and the door.
    Still the windows are closed
    but I'm still cold
when I feel that wind slipping by my side.

    Dark changes into bright
    Down with the limelight
    Night fighting to last
    but the sun is winning
    The moons time has passed.

The clouds are still there the next day
    all though they have changed
I know I'll see them again, they won't hide away
Glimps of people beneath my feet
    I can't help but notice
the others they're here to meet.
Oh, if the church could see them now
but it's to busy with the birds around.

    Dark changes into bright
    Down with the limelight
    Night fighting to last
    but the sun is winning
The moon is a thing of the past.

    I'm curious but I won't search
    clues aren't to be found
    when I'm watching down.
I'll rather look up to the sky
    with the birds flying high.
    The church and the clouds.
The night sinking in the ground.
