I have a optorite DD1205 DVD Burner, it woked fine up until I took it into the shop to get it fixed, and now it only burns Cds. I figured out the problem is that it dosnt work on Service Pack 2, is there a way around this? If not, can I downgrade to Service Pack1? If So, are there any consequences? I appreciate any help.

" it woked fine up until I took it into the shop to get it fixed"

Take it back to the shop and bitch at them, 90% of the time they did something to fuck with it.

A lesson learned, never take it in to a shop.

lol, I could try that. But, Im pretty sure that they just updated me to SP2, because I searched this problem on the internet, and many people were having the same problem because they now had Service Pack 2.

Oh the wonders of SP2. When I upgraded, it pretty much bricked my computer, my style went completely fucked, wireless was fucked up too. Lots of things were unusable from what I bothered to look at. All I did was sigh, and reformatted my computer. Luckily for me, all my documents are on as separate drive from OS, so no hassle there.

Sorry, not quite sure what to tell you, apart from the fact you've met one of the many SP2 horrors.

Ok, but that still dosnt answer my question of can I downgrade back to SP1?

I'm not 100% sure if there's a special way of doing it, but I know SP2 is in add/remove programs, if that helps.

You've checked the checkbox at the top, and SP2 doesn't show up at the bottom of the list, as shown in my screenshot? Oo

eah, it dosnt show any of that stuff. It just shows Windows INstaller, Windows Live Messenger, Windows Live Sign-In assistant, Windows Updates, Windows Media PLayer 10, and Windows Media Format runtime. That is for all the windows things I mean, I have other stuff obviously.
