I would go for making it thinner yeah. That would probably work out for you because when they're gonna make it thinner they're probably going to do it with a razor or with a so-called Coupe scissor. Those scissors don't cut all your hair, but you can see that already I guess. The pieces hair it will cut, will be shorter ofcourse. And because it's shorter, it will push the other hairs higher, so they won't fall that flat. Don't expect this high volume hair now, it's only a little help. I hope it'll work out.
