Ok, I'd like to try and write a few songs. But whenever I try and think of something to write about, I just can't! What do some of you writers/artists do when you are ready to write a song? Do you write the music or lyrics first? Do you think it up in your head and then write it on paper? What is your thought process?

We're not necessarily writing songs, just lyrics. Although, some people who have made music have posted the lyrics to the music.

People mostly get influenced by personal experiences and feelings in their poems and lyrics. Usually, for me at least, before i come up with the title, I'll have a line in my head, and I write it down and add to it. You can use www.rhymezone.com for rhymes. You could also use songs already made to influence your theme eg. love, pain.
