Okay, this thread is about getting people into John Petrucci. As you may know he's the guitarist for Dream Theater, and he is probably the best guitarist since Jimmy Page. He is very well known in the guitarist community (most guitarists I know love him!). If you want to try a Dream Theater song featuring JP at his best, try the instrumental 'Erotomania' with his best solos and melodies, 'Take The Time' is another great song with great riffs, and 'Lie' is probably their most popular with two of my favourite guitar solos ever! If you want a beautiful song, look no further than 'Hourglass' by his side project Liquid Tension Experiment. There is also a live 8:00 guitar solo which I'm downloading now, it is amazing what he can do! Crazy Riffs, beautiful melodies, shredding, did some classical stuff, wow....
