Linkin Park has a show tonight in Vienna, Austria! This will be the sixth show out of 17 making up this final From Zero tour leg, and the band is not taking things slow, having just done four dates in Germany including headline sets at legendary annual rock festivals Rock am Ring and Rock im Park. They will perform tonight at Ernst-Happel-Stadion, also known as Ernst Happel Stadium. With a capacity of over 50,000, this is the largest stadium in all of Austria, and it has stood since the early 1930s. Joining Linkin Park tonight are two support acts that make an incredible line-up: Virginia's coke rap icons Clipse and New York's alternative legends Phantogram.

Linkin Park's history in Austria comprises many shows, including several headline appearances at Nickelsdorf's Nova Rock festival (the most recent one just a year ago in June 2025), but the band's history in the city of Vienna is relatively scarce. The band has only played there three times prior to tonight, and two of those dates were in 2001, part of the band's very first tour cycle following the release of Hybrid Theory. The band performed in Vienna - and Austria as a whole - while playing support for Deftones on their Back to School tour, a densely-packed run of European stops thoughout March of 2001. On March 9 was a show in Vienna at Libro Music Hall, a concert hall venue which was later shut down and demolished in roughly 2003. Setlist information for this date is unknown, but Linkin Park was playing essentially the same setlist night-to-night at this point which consisted of essentially the whole of Hybrid Theory, plus some brief interludes.

Later that same year, on September 20, towards the end of the band's very first headlining European tour, Linkin Park returned to Libro Music Hall in Vienna, bringing along Puddle of Mudd and Adema as supports. Though the setlist for this show is similarly unconfirmed as far as the specific order of songs (which changed slightly night-to-night), the band was primarily performing many Hybrid Theory cuts once again, and they'd thrown in non-album songs "My December" and "Step Up", as well as a new interlude highlighting Mr. Hahn.

The band's next time in Vienna after that was in November 2014, about midway through a European leg of the Hunting Party tour which were basically the last Linkin Park shows of that year. This one took place at an entertainment venue in the city called Wiener Stadthalle, specifically Hall D, the main arena-sized space with a capacity of around 15,000. Opening for Linkin Park during this tour leg was Californian metalcore act Of Mice & Men. As mentioned, though, Linkin Park played shows in Austria quite regularly between 2007 and 2017, making stops in places like Graz, Linz and Nickelsdorf as part of the European legs during each tour cycle.

Linkin Park's most recent performance was a headline set at Germany's Rock im Park festival in Nürnberg. This, of course, was the follow-up to the unforgettable livestreamed performance at its sister festival Rock am Ring in Nürburg, both of them among the largest music events in the world. It was also the fifth show of the current tour leg that has seen some of the most significant setlist developments of this entire From Zero cycle. "Somewhere I Belong" seems to have finally been retired as the obligatory opening song, now relegated to being a rotation cut in the first act of the show. There's also been the return of "Breaking the Habit" taking the place of "Lost", though preceeded by the piano-based "Lost" intro just like back in 2024.

Rock im Park's set saw Linkin Park kicking things off with "Lying From You" (something which also happened for the first Hamburg show) - that song and "The Emptiness Machine" have been alternating as the opening song. Also appearing throughout the setlist were Hybrid Theory cuts "Crawling", "Points of Authority", as well as "From the Inside" and "Casualty", all songs which were not played at Rock am Ring.

Tonight's show might see some of the songs that have only been performed once so far this run: "Good Things Go", "Unshatter", "Let You Fade" or "LOST IN THE ECHO", another song making a return from 2024 setlists. "Over Each Other" and "Stained" are also rotation cuts that have both been absent from the recent festival sets, while there are songs like "CASTLE OF GLASS" (vocal elements from which are routinely used for intro and interlude segments) or even "Leave Out All the Rest" that were played last tour leg and haven't yet appeared during this one.

Then, of course, there is also the matter of "With You", a song which has seen only a single performance this entire cycle following years of consistent popular demand; Linkin Park surprised the entire fanbase by using it to start off the Rock am Ring show, complete with an vintage extended intro ripped straight from the Hybrid Theory era, all as a special nod to the band's first time playing the festival in 2001. That song did not appear for the Rock im Park set, and whether it will stay a one-off remains to be seen.

All in all, for those following the setlists night-to-night, it would appear that Linkin Park's From Zero live show is now the least-predictable it has ever been, whether the band is playing a festival or one of their own shows. This is still quite early in the tour leg, and so much more could happen before it wraps up at the end of June.

Following this Austria show, Linkin Park will circle back to Germany, performing two back-to-back nights at Allianz Arena in Munich on June 11 and June 12, before making a grand return to Download Festival in England on June 14. Whether you're going to any of these shows or just keeping an eye on how they're going, you can come and discuss it all on our message board!

Going from the crowd of 15 000 people to a stadium of 50 000 is huge...
